MOTIVATION LETTER FOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Throughout life, everyone has their goals. Having goals for things we want to do and working towards them is an important part of being human. The path towards our goal may not always run smoothly or be easy, but having goals, whether big or small, is part of what makes life good. I have different goals in during each period of my life. When I was in high school, I wanted to get good grades for my tests and at present, I want to master the Supply Chain Management major, that is my priority goal. I know I will get rough to achieve this goal but I know how to keep my spirits up to pursue my career path and I believe I will be better every aspect of my life.
I have always been curious about what makes a business successful. To run a business and make a profit we need to control the input and output model. Input is the process of taking something in. The output is an exact opposite, in that it is the process of sending something out to sell products or services to achieve the target and this relates to sales. They are two crucial parts of a company. At my present position, I am taking care of Input resources such as purchasing, logistics, forecasting, warehousing. As a Business Manager, I deal with these activities every month. My company has just established around a year so there are not many complicated problems occurring up to now. But in the next a few years, my company will scale its up operations in Viet Nam and I am worried and thinking about how purchasing enough materials for quantity and save at the warehouse with the lowest cost but with good quality until using it. Last year, when we exported the first container to the United States, we had not covered all bad situations occurring. We got big problems with different weather that we had not thought before and we were wasted a lot of money at that time. After this bad situation, I have a question for myself whether I will get the other problems that I could not forecast in the future. This question is always in my head. After that, I researched on the internet to study deeply and found perfect subjects in Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences are Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Physical Distribution & Transportation and especially International Project subject, so I decided I will stop my full-time job to broaden my horizons. The reality, my dream will own a company so I do not want to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted.
To prepare to succeed in postgraduate study and in my professional career, I will study the Pre-Masters Program that will help me to improve my English level, study skills, and academic knowledge. So a master's course was the ideal way to start my life in The Netherland and prepare me for the advanced level of study and understanding.
High - quality education and a great place to live are my priorities to decide which university I will apply for. Firstly, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences is designed higher education study programs in English. Besides, reaching a higher level, developing skills and becoming professionals are the goals of Rotterdam University Applied Sciences for all students. These factors I am looking for to build up my professional. Secondly, The Netherlands is known as the non-English speaking country but approximately 95% of locals speak English. This factor makes living, studying, and working in here convenient, comfortable and pleasant for international students as me. I will easily blend in and communicate with the locals and the other incoming internationals. An important thing I can not ignore is that The Netherlands is one of the safest countries and belongs to the top ten happiest countries in the world. Moreover, a bicycle is the main means of transportation here, so I can ride around in town easily to go sight-seeing. It's cheap and safe for me.
Studying Supply Chain Management in The Netherland is my right decision. I believe I will have beautiful memories here. Knowledge and skills I learn from here will be a firm foundation to accomplish my dream
