I am writing this letter in order to re-appeal admission into college during the Fall 2014 semester. During the semesters of fall 2013 and spring 2014 I failed to attend many courses that had been given to me which caused my failure. There is no excuse for my failure but my constant habits of not doing what I was meant to do. During the school year I didn't do what was needed of me to pass my classes, I came into university having a high school mentality which was my down fall. I over used my freedom and used it for my social betterment instead of my academic one. during this suspension from school during the summer has given me time to rethink my situation and the things needed to better myself. when readmitted I have decided to devote myself to my studies and my academic advancement. I am very confident that with this readmission I will be able to align myself with my professional goals and aim towards a better educational standing.
during my summer suspension I have given myself a lot of time to think ahead and better myself for the future. I see now that being sociable is not the way to get a better future but being academically outstanding is the way to be a help to my society. when I entered Lamar university I was feeling that I was free to do whatever I wanted which led me to skip classes which resulted in my failure. I have decide to reset my priorities to those of academic excellence and during this summer I have been looking over my failures and correcting them for all the courses taken. I believe that I am motivated to do much more to improve that I ever was.
I realize that being lazy should never be something a person who is in college should never be, i have realized my mistakes and have been correcting it all summer and I am prepared to show my academic improvement. when readmitted I will stand up to the challenge by repeating all courses failed and getting help where needed through the STARS program. I will also do my best to keep a GPA above 2.0 and even go further to a 3.0. i also plan on taking as many summer courses needed to bring up all graded failed
i have learned a great deal from my experiences and have made many positive decisions to improve my academic performance. i am excited for my future and want my plan for success to be seen in action. i would love for another opportunity to be able to prove myself as a better student and whatever you decide i am thankful for the opportunity given to me to be able to heard.
