recommendation letter
I am honored to recommend Malhi, an ambitious student that I have been teaching for over a year in my Computer Science class, to Berea College. Malhi is one of the most extraordinary students in his gifted class, who not only excels at what is taught at school but also extends his knowledge outside of class's coursework.
It is rare to find a student, coming from a language gifted class, taking computer science seriously and even excelling at it. In every lesson, Malhi learned eagerly: solving every question I asked, finishing every homework I gave, and learning the materials before I taught. During the mid-term examination, Malhi easily solved the given questions in half of the required time while most of his classmates struggled to do it. As a result, Malhi always gets high scores in my class.
It is also worth noting that Malhi is a highly independent student. Coming from a small town to a province to pursue his education, Malhi has to live far away from home and does not have many chances to visit his parents. However, this young student managed to live independently without feeling homesick. He self-studied most of his knowledge about coding and often borrowed books from the library to enlarge his knowledge.
Malhi is a bright student with many traits that can complement his intellectual ability. He will be a great asset to whatever universities he attends in the future. I sincerely recommend this student to your college.
