Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster - History of Soviet Russia Research Paper: Research Question

I'm writing a rather short research paper for my Soviet history class and I have already gathered a lot of information about a particular topic. I just wanted to run a research question by someone to see if it seemed focused enough. My research question (so far) is as follows:

"How did the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster reflect the Soviet transition from economic and social stagnation to perestroika and glasnost?"

If anyone can offer some help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I have revised my research question already, but I'd still like some input from anyone. Here's the new version:
"How did the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster aid the Soviet transition from a planned economy and extreme government secrecy to perestroika and glasnost?"
