Hello. I must write a 7 page research paper and i chose my topic to be about superheroes. I chose this topic because i thought it would be fun to write about, but as i start looking up on it it seemed only to be about entertainment and such. What i am stuck on is i can't come up with an ideal argument to base the whole paper around. The sources I've read up on describes them to be related history or certain gender of heroes could represent something. Anyways i am having a real hard time sorting through what is fine to write about and what's irrelevant. This is my first research paper.
Having trouble starting off my research paper about "Superheroes"
What exactly about super heros do you want to write about? There are many topics you could choose from, One example i can think of is what makes a super hero a super hero.
i guess i would like to focus around dc comic superheroes like batman,superman, green lantern
yes but what about them? You need to think about some kind of argument that you can make involving them.
Well after reading the sources i picked up. They talked about how they relate to political problems and social problems that we encounter in the real world. Could i make an argument about that?
Obviously you can do that and I think it will be a great idea to get it on the paper. Instead of focusing on the heroes which the world have already gone through, why dont you start with real life action super heroes. The greatest example of this would be the Heroes TV serial in the US which already have finished 4 or 5 seasons. What do you think ? :)
yeah i'd think that be a great idea. I too have seen the series heroes. Should i get info on their overall role to the show or something like that?

BTW, if you have seen it, instead of main leads in the series like Peter, Sylar, Claire, Nakamura Hero and other main characters, I would recommend you to write for the unpopular ones. All the people who still had the special powers, but everytime Sylar took their powers and killed them, remember those. Those are the people whom you can write about and many would be interested in reading about their powers.
