Research paper on the history of U.S. involvement of veterans and reemployment

Hi I have a research paper about the history of reemployment of veterans.
My three main points are:
-Vietnam War
-World War II
-History of Reemployment

My two War topics are going to be focused on how the U.S. contributed to helping active duty soldiers and veterans with employment.
For example: World War II: Women took jobs that were left by soldiers and gladly returned the jobs to veterans. I need to find sources and facts to input into my paper but I have no idea what search terms to use to find the right information.

My other example was Vietnam War: People were upset that we were fighting in that war and were very unappreciative of our soldiers return. Therefore they might have not been to eager to help them get reemployed in civilian life.

My main issue is finding good search terms. I cannot find good information that will support these points. Any help on where I can find good information whether it be databases, libraries, or even textbooks would be very helpful! I want to do great on this paper but I am having a lot of trouble getting started.

I would also look up the Veterans Preference Act of 1944, which will cover what happened after World War II, and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act, which is the Vietnam-era law that is equivalent. You can use the differences and similarities between the two to explain the history of this type of legislation. I hope that helps!
