It is horrid and I know it! haha
I just need an input to tell my teacher someone saw if and commented on it.

Granted Education

Why is education being taken for granted in the US? Is this something that isn't important in anyone's future? More than 5.8 billion students between the ages of 16 and 24 were not going to school in the year 2011 and more than 600,000 students drop out of high school a given year. Why is that? Is high school and college something difficult the students in the US can't handle or are they just being plain ungrateful?

Education has been taken for granted for years in the United States. Young students dropout early from school to do whatever they want or to just simply to rebel against their parents. I'm not saying that the parents are responsible, but at some point in life children follow their parent's steps. One thing that doesn't really click in my mind is how some students are offered scholarships when they graduate and they don't take them. Hello! It's free money, free education which means no worries about financial stability. There are so many people and students that don't go to school here in the US and in other countries because their families can't afford bit and those who are given the opportunity don't take it. Why do they not take it? Perhaps because of the stress and all the work. Students have become lazy and started to see school as something boring, unimportant.

While students in the United States are not wanting to go to school, other students from other countries want to attend. Many people in the US don't realize that some foreign students wish they could study here, because they see this country as a dream land. Most immigrants see the US as a land with great opportunities and great teachings, something that many of us Americans have forgotten. We have become so used to the doings here and seeing how easily doors can be opened for us that we have forgotten how badly people are discriminated in other countries. We have forgotten how strong and blessed our country is and have not taken the opportunity to learn more than need be. We forget that some of the best teachers, astronauts, athletes and much more are from this country. Sadly we don't see them as teachers, but many foreign students with dreams, hope to have teachers like them available to teach them as they hope one day they shall fulfill their dreams.

Scholarships and loans have never been a problem in the US. Some students have taken vast amounts of loans from banks in order to continue schooling and others have received scholarships or grants. This is a great example of how wonderful and giving our government is. We should be thankful that we have a government that believes lending money will be for a good cause and that it will be paid later in the future. Sadly, not all countries think this way or invest money in their people. Other countries are tight on money and Students in other countries find it difficult to gather money to even go to elementary public school. Can you imagine what it's like for them to even get an education until 18 or better yet, college? We should be grateful with our education system and the facility of any child going to school.

Children are the future of this country. If they are not taught now, when will they learn? With them starting off young, they will learn much more than if they were to learn in an older age. Why? Because their brain are like sponges and absorb all the information they are given. Thankfully the United States of America are known for the saying, "No child gets left behind," because in other countries they don't care. Children are just children in other places and aren't seen with importance. The majority of the children in poorer countries have to stop going to school because they have to help provide for the house. Kids are sent out to streets to sell jewelry, food, and crafts made at home. Some of these kids never learn to read or write in their entire lives and raise their children in the same manner. By this being done, their country never progresses because of the same actions being made. Their governments never step in and tell them that they need to change their lives in order for them to have more quality. Our government encourages us to get an education and help our children to want to be someone in life. Our children are the future of America, but it is up to us to take the steps.

Equality is something that has always been given to all Americans and foreigners who have become citizens of the US. Everyone has freedom of speech, religion and to receive an education. People in this country have not realized how fortunate many women in this country are because they can receive education very easily. Women now a days are learning how to be mechanics, lawyers, and many other jobs that are gender typed to be masculine in other countries and even to some people who live in the US. The people who live here and think this way cannot say anything, because it would be considered discrimination, but in other countries women cannot even speak without permission from their fathers or husbands. Women are seen as unworthy and useless in some countries which makes me wonder why some of us are so ungrateful. Some foreign women have never gone to school, because they are seen as a house keeper. What does a house keeper need to learn about other than cleaning, so why waste time educating them? Look at how many women have been thankful for the rights they have in this country and look at how many live in the US. There is a huge amount of American women who haven't stood up and said, "I will do something for this country. I will be a doctor!" Women in the US have the opportunity to speak, to be independent and to make a career out of their lives. Why not want more in life rather than settle for a low income job? Any age, race, and gender can go to school in the country, so why not when anything is possible? Everything can be done, the only one that is responsible for the future outcome is your own.

Opportunity is something everyone wants in life. Our country allows anyone of all ages to get some sort of education. It would be illegal to turn away someone who has to educate themselves. Recently America has passed a law called The Dream Act. This act allows young illegal adults who have been growing up and attending school in the US most of their lives. This simple example shows the compassion our country has for other people who want to study here and have been doing it under their noses. Many Americans didn't want this law to go through, but the US saw the illegal students and how much enthusiasm they has d for wanting to learn and decided to let them study. I believe they did this in a way of investment and a positive for other countries, because once the students receive their education they will either go back to their country to help out or they will stay and help our country grow. Viewing that in this way makes you realize that most of these students are probably going to get their citizenships and stay here. Or it could be a tactic to see how many illegal students there are in the US and send them back when they have completed. Overall everyone has an opportunity to study in the USA.

Education has been more advanced in the US than certain countries and have approached education in different ways. Technology has been used in various forms to help students learn faster and captivate their attention. Programs have been made to educate students a lot more effectively and rapid than older teaching methods. Because other countries are not focused on their students and their futures, they don't invest in their education techniques. It has become more difficult for other students in other countries to receive quality education, therefore many of them wish they could receive education here. Resources are easily found here in the US than any other place.

Like many already know, education is something that costs. Mentally, financially, and socially our lives are affected by it. In the end education is something to invest time in because it is something that will help us in our future jobs and help us live in commodity. Education shouldn't be taken for granted in this country and everyone should receive education without any excuses. Our government gives us no excuse not to study. All it takes is a "Yes" and a little bit of will.

Do students find difficult to handle their high school and college careers or don't they take them seriously?

Equality is something that all American nationals enjoy irrespective of whether they are immigrants or not.
People in this country have not realized how fortunate manyto be an American womanwomen in this country are because they can receive education very easily.there is nothing that deprives them of receiving a quality education

There is absolutely no gender discrimination in terms of job opportunities for women and many women can be found in professions which were one time restricted to only males .
