In term to answer the question why I want to apply to this program I want to say that the most important person in my life was and always will be my mother. She raised me alone without any help and while my life was difficult in times I learned from her that there is nothing impossible. My mother has died several days ago and I steel feel that it is hard to breath, but she always believed in me and I need to live my life happy and full. When I told my mom that I'm going to pursue to this program, she was a great help for me, she encouraged me a lot and now without her I will try to do my best, so she can be proud of me, there on the sky. When I was young we were so in need with money, that when I applied for university I choose Book keeping as my major, because in my opinion this profession could give me stability, which I was craving. At that time I didn't even think about things that I really want to do in the future and it was a choice that I had to make in term to help my mother. I steel will do whatever can make her happy even when she is not with me, I have to live and I have to be happy for her.
I was born in Ulan-Ude which is Capital of the Buryat Republic and as a representative of indigenous group I always feel somehow connected to other Asian nations. My interest particularly in Korean culture started from my Taekwondo-do classes. I learned a lot about Korea from my teacher, who also inspired me to travel to Korea, and in 2015 me and my friends, who were also my Taekwondo classmates went to Korea for the first time. After that trip I started attending to Korean language classes from Sejong university. Learning Korean made me realize how similar my native language which is Buryat language and Korean language are - both of them have similar sentences structure and sometimes sounds almost the same and this observation made me want to study in Korea, so I started to search programs that can help me with that, because of regardless my employee status I still don't have enough money to study abroad by myself.
I am very dedicated person, so after I made decision to study in Korea I drop my Taekwondo classes, because I am a full time employee and have not that much time for learning languages and doing sport in the same time, so I have to prioritize I tried to use all my vacation properly, so every time I have it i went to Seoul National university for Three week intensive Korean language courses. I started to learn English as well, so I can have a better chance to have this Scholarship.
I am working as an accountant for about 6 years now, and I know my job well enough to realize that regardless my success in this area I want to try something new, something that I have desire to do. I was studying in a local university and while the education there was just fine I always want to have an opportunity to study in better University and have better education that I believe I could have in Korea and this Scholarship Program is the only opportunity for me to make my dream come true.
