(Be specific and include: what aspect/s of your leadership knowledge, skills and practice you consider to be well established and effective; which people or organisations you worked with to solve the problem; and what creative methods were used.)
Hi guys, here is my essay for AAS submission, and I'd like to hear your opinion thank you
When I was in university I joined a student organization in my department called the Student Innovation Center (SIC). The purpose of this organization is to improve student's skills and doing volunteering work to improve the IT infrastructure.
In 2016, using the SIC platform, I initiated a project to install the e-learning system at one of the senior high schools in Klungung, Bali. In that school, the teacher found it difficult to find a platform for online learning. Besides, they need to prepare the student to face national examinations that will use the online system. To solve this problem, I implemented learning management systems (LMS) called Moodle. The intention of using this LMS is because it is open-source software. This is part of my campaign to decrease the use of illegal software in organizations.
Implementing the e-learning system in this school transforms how the teacher interacts with the students. The face to face classroom meeting now can be substitute with e-learning. The use of paper could be reduced because the students can use e-learning to do their assignments and exam. Using e-learning the students can access learning material as well as doing class discussions with the teacher through online forum features.
In this project, I had to coordinate with the school's stakeholders together with my team members. First of all, I had to define all system requirements of the e-learning system needed by doing some discussions with the headmaster, teachers, and the IT staff. Once it is completed, then I led my team members to set up the systems according to the requirements. Then, we deployed our work at the school environment computer systems. The last thing is to train the teacher on how to use e-learning. I encouraged the teachers to be more confident about their ability to adopt new technology. As a result, the training went well because the e-learning is easy to understand.
