Choosing Universities - Want to major in Computer Science.

I'm planning to apply universities in USA. I'm a future freshmen in 2012. Want to major in Computer Science.
Now i pick several universities, want your advise.
1. Iowa State University
2. North Carolina State University,Raleigh
3. University of Arizona
4. University of Kansas
Choose 2 universities.
(The weather should be hospitable, without too many extreme weather.like tornado, extreme weather change in a day and so on.)

Let me ask you some questions first:
Why USA? I'm guessing you're from China, 高考 a problem (I'm kidding)? Really though, it's good to know why America if you're choosing an American school (yes, we abuse the use of the word American). The American schools you have chosen are by no means bad, but they are not really the great.

You want to major in computer science, and this is a priority, right? You should be looking for a school with a strong CS department then.

Why weather? It's not an unreasonable concern, but most places aren't going to have tornadoes daily or anything scary like that. I would be more concerned about whether you like the cold or not etc.

If you want to do CS, I would recommend you consider applying to Georgia Tech or a similar school. It's public, so even though you're international the cost won't kill you. GT and Virginia Tech are both good school, though GT is much better over all.

You should check out the computer science program in all of those universities and rank them according to your preference. And then do the same with the weather. When your research is complete, just compromise and pick the one where you think you can thrive. Always go to the school's website for information and later also check out studentreviews.com.

i guess North Carolina State University,Raleigh would be the best choice.but please research in detail before choosing the university.
