A Mind, Ideas, and Creativity
The essential pieces of our world. Through mistakes and challenges, they have become the building blocks of life. Each has provided the direction for how one thinks and acts. They are the sources of emotions such as confidence, despair, bliss, or the embarrassment of a mother's wet kiss. Some say they can only be expressed through word of mouth, however; words that are spoken rarely linger.
My thoughts have been projected through the words that fill the pages of my notebook. The letters that float across those white-pages are vibrant and show far more emotion than any volume could. Since I wrote my first article, for my middle school newspaper, I have been drawn to the craft of writing.
Through my school newspaper, "Eagles", I was exposed to the captivating world of journalism. Soon, I realized that I adored writing simply because it gave me a second voice-one that would last and not be forgotten.
The abundance of this passion urged me to collaborate with my peers, and in the summer of 2010, I successfully co-founded the youth newsletter for Christian Hope Ministries. Through this work, I have incorporated my ideas and thoughts. Since then, I have served as both an editor and contributor for the newsletter. Writing has provided me with the best of both worlds. I have been invited to orally present my works, and have seen others become emotionally drawn to the ideas expressed through them. The foundation that I have gained developed in me the desire to continue my growth as a writer. With this desire, I hope to hone my skills in this field.
I may never be able to gather enough words to verbally express my love for writing, still, I will continue to write and cherish the pieces of my thoughts.
