Please feel free to point out mistakes and give criticism, your help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Last year, as a foreign exchange student, I joined the cross country team. It was both a struggle and a joy. As it turned out, cross country was the hardest sport in the season due to the great amount of training. I struggled with running for four miles every day plus hills and lifting every once a while. Though with a tired body and mind coming home, I decided staying on the team was worth it. Holding my enthusiasm, I learned to enjoy the sport. Soft breezes and vigorous trees companied me continuously and cheered me up. Improved results of meeting one after another provided me increasing confidence. I appreciated the experience of cross country, and the motto "push it to the limits" will encourage me to keep stepping forward, both on the track and off.

I am not so sure what you suppose to answer because I don't know the prompt,
maybe add some more details of what you learn beside just "learned to enjoy the sport".
