Life is a big theater. I don't want Shakespeare to write my play. I don't want to be just a character in this play. I want to be the writer of my life play, so I want it a masterpiece that people will be inspired by. It would include all the stages and metamorphosis in my life, including a very important stage, which is, university. This stage determine all my other chapters of my life.
Unlike school, we don't go to university because we 'have to' but because we 'want to'. Generally, university benefits us a lot by improving not only our academic knowledge but also our social skills. University education leads to a broader range of opportunities and a more rewarding career.
University education also provides opportunities for personal growth by exposing us to a rich cultural and social milieu. A university education teaches the need to work with dedication and commitment in addition to the traditional skills of essay writing, research, group discussions, etc. Above all this, there is the social education of growing up and learning to live and work with others.
In the words of Albert Einstein, "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school." True to his words, a university education is what remains with us and helps us make a living. All the same, it is not just a means to earn a living but also a means to better living.
However; The American University in Cairo is not a normal university .It is a dream to each student. What makes AUC unique is its outstanding education excellence. Their highly qualified faculties know what students should really learn. Also, AUC's libraries and other educational labs provide a great learning environment where research is a major part of education. As a result, we will be better equipped for career goals and will have superior and further opportunities in the future.
Another thing that benefit us a lot from learning in the AUC is the cultural blend of the student body. The various nationalities of AUC's students make it very interesting to study and meet people from different backgrounds and know other cultures. This will expand our horizons and open our eyes to a new world. Therefore, the diverse student body of AUC makes it a great cultural bridge where different nationalities get together and understand each other.
Because one of AUC's main aims is to provide a productive and creative atmosphere for students through its campus life's activities and student clubs, it drives students to be more energetic, creative, and outfitted for achieving approaching future goals.
Although there are not enough words to describe my desire to study at the American University in Cairo, a desire to study somewhere that offers remarkable education superiority, interesting cultural variety, and the inspiring student life are my motives for adding more value to my play.
