Hello guys.
frist of all i want to say that my english is a little bad and im sorry for that..
I'm participating in a Brazilian project which aims undergraduate students, and hopefully gain a scholarship to study outside the country.
i wonder if someone could give me tips for my essay... the subject is Study Objectives: In an essay of no less than 250 words and no more than 500 words, write a clear and detailed description of your study objectives. Be specific about your field of study and your specialized interests within this field.
and for now my essay is :
At beginning of my studies I didn't know what the really mean engineer, but with the advancement and always accompanied by good teachers I learned a lot about many different matters, but I had a greater ease and proximity to metallic materials, ceramic materials and polymeric materials.
Designers of machines, vehicles and structures must balance the levels of performance and economy, while ensuring the safety and durability. For this to happen the knowledge of the mechanical behavior of materials is required. Defects such as excessive deformation, and even cracks in components should be completely avoided. This area called the mechanical behavior of metallic materials.
Discover how each material behaves always intrigued me, how each microstructure, materials composition, quenching, tempering, etc. Will change all their proprieties, and thus discover the best combination for greater efficiency.
For now I have written a scientifically research with the help of my teachers, about Methodology to construct J-R Curve, basically shows how much energy some crack spend, for me will be grateful share my experience and always learning more.
Unfortunately at my college, I learned only 1 semester about polymers and ceramics materials while metallic materials I had two years of school. Because of that my Study Objectives is go deeper at metallic materials, and learn more about polymers and ceramic
thx a lot !
Artur.
