My thoughts turned towards the dramatic transformation about to take place in my life as I sat in my room listening to the sweet music of those birds. My mom told me we might move out of the town the following week. I couldn't stop ruminating about it the whole week. I asked myself, "Am I ready to let go of my friends, my comfortable small town, my school and adapt to a new school, new neighbors, a new circle of friends, and a completely new life?' and my brain whispered to me, absolutely not, not at all. However, no matter what answer my brain has given me, the journey was undeniable. Days passed and the day I dreaded has finally arrived. I desperately wanted to cancel this plan of moving to another town, but I simply couldn't do anything. The first few months after we moved were the hardest. Learning in a new school where everything felt unfamiliar was distressing. I have been blaming my parents for all the things that happened to me. If they had never divorced, there would have been no reason for us to move to another town. What I didn't know was the life-changing opportunity found in that scary new change.
As the time went by, I started stepping out of my lonely bubble. Fortunately, I was surrounded by sociable people who helped me blend in with the community. I started joining different clubs and social groups. The experiences turned out to be surprising because they opened for me the colorful horizons which revealed some facts about me and my viewpoint on life that had been in reserve before. I started making new friends, who helped me to familiarize myself with my new school and town. I never thought that these skills would ever help me in my life. I was wrong; it came to be one of the most useful things I learned in my life. The new environment that I have been afraid to join has given me gifts that my old little circle couldn't give me. I started perceiving the world I was in from different angles. The accumulation of these small accomplishments shaped the person I am today. Learning to live independently from my parents has taught me valuable skills that I wouldn't have acquired otherwise.
Experiencing this transformation prepared me for the next chapter in my life; attending a specialized boarding school. However, I was well prepared and open to embracing this new change. Additionally, I offered support to fellow students who felt alone in the unfamiliar environment, assuring them that we all shared similar sentiments. It's not easy to live apart from your parents for the first time, but I have grown accustomed to it. Thanks to the English language training center that I joined when I was in elementary school, I can understand and communicate very well in English. So the high school learning language did not bother me at all.None of this would have been possible without embracing change.
Moving out of my small circle made me realize how far I am from the modernized world. I would have been confined to my world forever, not knowing the whole world other than my own. But now, thanks to the change that happened in my life, I have become someone better, someone who can freely speak his ideas, and listen to other people's ideas openheartedly. I believe any kind of change in your life can be a turning point that can lead you to a better future. I am not afraid to face any kind of challenge and use the opportunities that come with it. I am ready to be a new and better version of myself at any time.
