having problem with my synthesis paper
I need to write a sysnthesis essay on globle warming but my problem is that I can not use any external source. There are only two articles that I have to read but those articles do not provide enough information for me to write a good paper.
I really dont know how to write a synthesis paper. If someone could give me an outline of this kind of essay, I would be really greatful.
I would assume that the two articles each take a different point of view of global warming. A synthesis paper would presumably involve trying to reconcile the two opposing points of view, taking the facts listed in each into account. The reason you wouldn't be allowed to use outside sources is because the goal of the assignment isn't to try to destroy one argument or to bolster the other, but to learn to integrate two opposing viewpoints. At least, that's what it sounds like to me. So, you might start by briefly summarizing each of the two arguments, perhaps each in its own paragraph, then move on to a discussion of how the two arguments can be combined in some way. It would help if you could provide links to the two articles, as more detailed feedback is harder to give without them.
Thank EF_Sean.
I dont have any links to my articles since they come from my course book.
The reason I am confused with this assingment is that they two artciles are the same; both authors talk about the the effects of global warming. The only difference between the two is that one talks about global warming worldwide and the other is talking about Canada only. The first artilce talks about the cause of global warming, the history of gobal warming, changes in weather and enviroment. The second article is just photographs of different places in Canada with direct quotes from the author. The photographs are about no snow, people driving sports cars, melting ice.
