Interracial messages on the movie "Our Wedding Family" (2010)

Need help with a thesis for the film, "Our Wedding Family" (2010)

i need to address two things thoroughly: 1) what i think is the prevailing message of the film, conscious or unconscious; 2) my thesis about this message.

1) Every film conveys a message through its plotline, characterization, techniques. In this class we'll be looking for a film's message concerning interracial relationships. A message is not a theme (themes are, e.g., interracial romance, racism, attitudes of immigrants, the search for one's father, the nature of political persecution). A message is a statement that reveals an ideology or certain attitude toward the theme (e.g. Interracial romance exposes ugly attitudes in a community; interracial romance is unrealistic and tragic in the era of this movie)

2) My thesis about this message expresses My opinion about how the film goes about transmitting the message.

Well, you are going to have to think of one. This is an important skill. If you cannot discern the message carried in artistic expression, you are not going to be able to enjoy life.

Now, besides the fact that I have not seen the film, I don't want to give you any answers because this is an essential life skill. You need to be able to experience cinematic art and ask yourself, "Why did the writer decide to choose a parking garage for this scene?" "Why did the writer choose to make the evil character win in the end?"

Ask yourself what secret message is being transmitted. You can actually find the answer by looking at a review. Google this: Our Family Wedding By JUSTIN CHANG

But if you have not watched the film, watch it, because you need to be able to receive messages transmitted through art. Make time for this, the most important thing. ;-)

I help you by pointing you in the right direction. Look at a review to see what a more experienced film critic says about the film and its message. All you have to do is look at one review, and you could just rewrite it in your own words if you did not want to have to do any work. But instead of just rewriting someone else's ideas, you could challenge them. Read more than one review, and decide whose ideas seem correct.
