irishgirl93 1 / - Jan 6, 2010 #1The Promises I Hope to KeepEvery year, since I could remember, I have made New Years resolutions that usually last about a week. This year I decided to think of resolutions I might actually like to keep. For instance, one of my resolutions is to not be afraid to make changes and try new things. I want to keep my promise because I hope to always be busy and also I hope to live a more fulfilled year.
yang 2 / 313 Jan 6, 2010 #2because I hope to always be busyhow does this go with you trying trying now things? or make change?perhaps say that you hope to become more active in school events? in your community?i'd suggest that you give examples of how you'd change things and try novelties. You need to be more specific about your resolutions becuase you specific said that you "decided to think of resolutions" you actually will do, but what you've give are very vague topics.

Is it a school assignment?Every year, since I could remember, I have made New Years resolutions that usually last about a week. Here's a couple of grammar points. The first comma isn't needed. The sentence is a little awkward. Do you mean every year since you had the capability to remember? Every year? Recent years? Nail it down. An apostrophe is needed in New Year's. The resolutions belong to the New Year. Think of it like saying, "Tuesday's to-do list" versus "I always to AA on Tuesdays."
