STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I strongly believe in the statement that perfection has been already there in a man, inherent in his heart and soul. Education is the medium through which we are able to manifest that perfection in us. I have always tried doing all those things that I wanted to do, no matter how tough or complicated it might have been. I was perfect and succeeded in most of the efforts. Science is the only stream of education that offers practical implementation of every theory and hence I wanted to be a master in science.
Subjects like Mathematics and Physics which took me to the world where imaginations turned to reality. I always wonder how a particular theory of mathematics or physics can be proved; they were just imaginary for me in higher primary school. With no time, imaginations turned real in my secondary school, where I got proof for many of the theories. Since then my interest towards physics grown significantly. It is only with my good academics, I had got an opportunity to study Electronics & Communication Engineering as my undergraduate course at the YYYY Institute of Technology CCCCC. I must complement my teachers for their enormous effort in teaching us both theoretical and practical aspects of the subjects in parallel. After my undergraduate studies, I am convinced that a research based career in the field of embedded systems and microelectronics would be most challenging to me. I aspire to become a distinguished research engineer with expertise in Embedded Systems and Microelectronics. Masters in XXXXXX from your University would be my first step towards this Goal.
"You can do anything you set your mind to" is the motto of my life. Dedication, persistence and time management are my strengths. My parents' tremendous support and encouragement is the key to my success and motivation for my higher studies. I have always been enchanted by Science & Technology right from my childhood which sustained me in developing technical and analytical abilities. My keen interest in Science & Technology is a key to secure First Rank in 'Chintana Science Examination in State Level Competition' when I was in the 7th grade.
Subjects like Logic Design, Network Analysis, Electronic Circuits and Microprocessors fortified my knowledge of electronics. The variety of courses offered by the University ranging from core theory courses to highly advanced topics, combined with the vigilantly framed interdepartmental courses, learnt from proficient teaching faculty, has enhanced my basic framework for pursuing higher studies.
I had a great opportunity to be part of a project on "User Interface Card" in my Final year of under graduation at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), which is the top Organization under Government of India. In BEL I had immense exposure to the real world applications and technologies. To pamper my interest, I did another project on "MEMS Based Device Control Using CPLD". This Project work was carried out with a group of four students and we learnt that team work is very important to achieve our goal with excellence. In this Project we studied the application of MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) sensor in a wireless environment. CPLD was chosen as it can be designed and verified quickly and user can easily modify their design accordingly. We used radio signals to control the devices using MEMS. The study is both theoretical and practical. This was one of the most innovative and advanced project in our batch.
The research experience that I have gained through these two projects with diverse objectives has fuelled my desire for more. Both the projects have included in me a scientific outlook to question what has been put forth and to look for an answer through knowledge, experience, innovation and effort. I have decided to go ahead with my dreams of gaining more knowledge and becoming one of the top specialists in the field of embedded systems.
I believe my consistent academic credentials, dedication; the ability to multitask and excel in a challenging environment makes me a suitable candidate for graduate studies. I would like to share that I bring along a strong grasp of fundamentals in electronics, computers and networking, an aptitude for teaching and teamwork, a zest for challenges and an enthusiastic desire to learn.
Germany is land of ideas and it's achievements in the field of Sciences have been significant. Research and Development forms an integral growth of innovative technologies. It is the source of innovations especially in the field of embedded and automotive systems. For most of the 20th century, German Laureates had more awards than any other nation especially in the sciences and The Nobel Prize has been awarded to 103 German laureates. Education, science and research play a central role here. The education here guarantees practical knowledge in addition to solid theoretical foundation, and above all, it provides a platform to launch a career through industry oriented Internships and research oriented Master Thesis. One of the main reasons for choosing the Germany is because of an education system that supports and encourages research oriented studies and better career platform.
