Hey Guys, Can you review my admission essay and tell me what you think? Thanks

Imagine being unable to tell a parent how much you love them or your children that you are proud of them. When I was young, I worked with a speech-language pathologist, but I did not understand what it is that speech-language pathologists actually do until years later. It was not until my sister needed help from a speech-language pathologist after a brain tumor made her speech almost impossible to understand. The speech-language pathologist helped me understand what was happening and showed me how speech-language pathologists improve the quality of life for patients. After my sister passed away, I realized that even though my education had suffered, and I went through a tragic loss, I found a career path about which I was passionate.

Eager to learn more, I volunteered with a local speech-language pathologist. I loved working with children and got to work with a child who had ADHD. It was truly amazing to see his improvement after just six months. He was able to focus better and think more critically about literature and I loved playing a role in that change. Speech-language pathology is a multifaceted field; there are so many areas of specializations. I volunteered to work with Aphasia patients to discover more about different populations. Aphasia patients were a completely different experience for me. The help you provide to them is appreciated on a whole different level. Each improvement is a shared experience in the life of an Aphasia patient. Working with aphasia patients required compassion and patience; but especially dedication to the patients you are working with. Having volunteered in different areas of speech-language pathology, I am most drawn to pediatrics. As a mother of triplets, I love children and I am fascinated by children's language development. Currently, I am working on a language acquisition study of triplets that I hope will shed light on the language acquisition of multiples as a whole. My long-term goal is to do a dissertation on the language of multiples and to make this information publicly available. Furthermore, I will practice in both Russian and English. This will allow me to reciprocate the support my family and I received from my community when we needed it most.

Having moved to Canada 10 years ago I understand what it's like to be in a foreign country. But Toronto's many communities came together to make my family feel at home which is why it's so important for me to be able to give back to those communities. Multiculturalism is an important aspect for me and at the University of Toronto; I will be immersed in a culturally diverse community, which I know will make a better speech-language pathologist. University of Toronto is also my number one choice because the faculty at the university are all leading experts in their field, be it cleft palate or swallowing. It's exciting to be surrounded by people who have so much knowledge to offer and so much to give. As someone who is eager to learn i know they will prepare me for the challenges of this career well.

Hi. I think your essay has many true feelings in it and I really like this characteristic of your essay. I think you can talk more about your academic accomplishments and probably more insights into this major. It will be more professional.
