short and long term academica and professional in SOP

I am applying for an MSc in CS course-based program.This university doesn't have any SOPA requirements. Instead of SOP, they ask some questions in the admission portal as part of admission.

I am struggling to organize the answer to the following question:

Please describe your short- and long-term academic and professional goals. What do you hope to do after you finish your graduate degree?

[[As this is a course-based program where a thesis-based program is also available for those who want to do research, I am not finding it appropriate to directly mention that I will go for a PhD after masters.]]

What should be my answer?

Since you are being asked for your long and short term academic goals, you should feel free to mention that you will enroll in a PhD course after your masters. It shows continued learning on your part and establishes you as a long term academically inclined person. Perhaps the school is looking for such character in their students which is why they specifically mentioned your academic goals. Remember though that the immediate focus should be on your short term professional goals in relation to long term career development. That means, your academic interest should support your career outlook as well. Those need to go hand in hand in the presentation. The short term goal is over a span of 5 years. The long term results should cover at least 10 years of study and professional participation to produce your target career results.
