An structure is an simple thing ,but writing is more complicated.
Although i get 24 out of 25 items from a structure part of University exam, i still find that Writing is not so easy as writing.
The best way to improve writing is to read every kind of subjects on websites such as CNN, BBC. Hence, i can write an essay more effectively.
anyway, websites like the economist and The new york times are very hard to understand if without a high level of vocabularies which are mainly in academic texts. Information here is valuable to my writing exam, yet i have to use easy words to put in my essay so that everyone will understand what i convey to him.
Are you asking a question here, or just sharing some thoughts? If you're just sharing thoughts, I'll move this to "Student Talk."
"i still find that Writing is not so easy as writing."
If by that you mean writing without errors is easier than writing something original and interesting, I agree.
thesaurus.reference
I use it alot to vary similar words so don't get repetitive, or for better word choices. if you have a ipod-touch or iphone they have the same dictionary/thesaurus app for free
Oh, but this is a very dangerous thing to do unless you take the extra step of looking the new word up in a dictionary and reviewing all of its meanings, to be sure you are choosing an appropriate synonym for what you want to say. I would say that use of the online thesaurus (and online translators) is the chief cause of English language students writing sentences that make no sense or sound very strange. A thesaurus lists all possible synonyms, including those that have quite specific or narrow applications. Never use a word that you have found in the thesaurus unless you are absolutely sure of its meaning.
Thank for your nice site neuromancer...but it seems like I'm going to work hard to use it...
