Oliviast 1 / - Mar 25, 2013 #1Here is my application essay for the hospitality school Glion in Switzerland, please give me advice and feedback to improve it!Dear Sir/Madame,When I was 16 years old my high school granted me a scolarship for 2000 Euros because of my positive impact and good attitude towards my class mates. I was nominated by people from my scool and because I felt like giving back, I co invested with my school principal the grantmoney to finance having lecturers come to the school and have workshops about how a positive attitude impacts your self esteem.I have since a young age been fascinated by the hospitality industry. All the aspects of how you create an atmosphere and a concept with the tools of etiquette and human energy has always intrested me. I have always known that I am supposed to work in this industry, I am very sensitive to details and have accuired organisational skills after working in restaurants while growing up. I had the privilege to practice welcoming people while being a hostess at sponsored parties, which was a humbling experience giving me a lot of insight to the pressure your put under in the service industry. This experience also made me feel right at home and made me realise that it is either in the restaurant industry at a hotel or in hotel management I see my future profession.It would be an honour for me to become a student at Glion institute of higher education because the school represents the education I want to obtain and I think I have the right values and personality to be a student there. I value respect towards others, good work ethic and a positive behaviour. Why I value these things is because I believe in the concept of karma, you will be met and treated the way you treat others and my wish is to be that kind of person who will work and study at a university like Glion. That would permit me continue evolving and gain the experience that will make me a person that will work at highly regarded hotels, treating people with kindness and respect and in return receive that from the people I serve and work for. If I would get the honour to become a student at Glion Institute of higher education I would be able to purse the goals and visions I have for my life. My dream is to be a student at Glion.

As an ardent believer in Karma which means that one's good or bad acts would results in good or bad effects on him, I believe if I treat others well, I too would be treated well by others.This is why I think I deserve to be a student in a university like GlionI have since a young age been fascinated by the hospitality industrySince young age, I have been fascinated by the hospitality industry.
