Some people believe that the best time for a person to learn a new language is when he/she is a child.Others feel adults learn languages better and faster than children. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.
Most would agree that individual's ideas, views, thoughts can be best communicated in a good manner if that individual has a command over the language. It is believed that language is an integral part of communication, however age to learn new languages is arguable. Some people argue that children are quick and fast to learn new languages than adults.In this essay, both sides of this debate will be analyzed before a reasoned conclusion is reached.
On the one hand, many people support the notion that new languages can be learned easily as a child. For example, a child born in a family where parents speak different languages, will have a good understanding of the languages spoken by his parents. It is clear and obvious that the child does not have to make extra effort to learn the languages. This shows that, how easy is to learn new languages as a kid.
On the other hand, many believe that adults are better and quick learners. For example, many adults join the language classes to learn new languages, which runs for a short period from 3-12 months. It is considered that students from such short term classes will be able to gain the language skills, working hard by memorizing words, phrases and learning grammar. This proves that people believe adults are considered more quick learners for new languages, however language expertise is arguable.
After analyzing both sides of this debate, it is evident that it is easy and quick to learn new languages as a child.
