Essays / Is story telling a must in an admission essay? [5]

I've been reading old essays from 2009 till present and find that most of the essays had some form of story telling.

I do understand that an essays needs to have a hook for the officers to read,but somehow it turn outs to a complete (sob/sad/fun) story and completely ignores the questions itself?

How does the admission officer sees that ? The fact that he/she read a good story or the fact that you disregard the question completely ?

Wondering how many officer does your essays get through ? Like if its 2 officers,one could say yes and could say no,but if its one?

The story I am going to tell happened long time ago but I still remember it clearly without missing any parts

Overall,I believe your 2nd essay answered the

what topic of study would you make mandatory for all students to study and why

but not really the priorities of your institution and why?

Undergraduate / The Road book - Columbia essay (write about a book that is meaningful) [18]

I think you probably need to discover this yourself and not others helping you. This is due mainly to the fact others might interpret this book differently than you.

Plus you need to know why was it meaningful to you!

Moreover, through the twenty-second best law school in the nation

Should this be included? 22nd? Do you really want to tell them that they are ranked behind 21 universities?

With an interest in international laws, Boston University can also provide me with an international law experience

I find this sentence boring and could definitely need some editing or rephrasing it in a better way.
