Undergraduate / 'the Kimmel center' - WHY NYU? Supplement [8]
Why NYU?
The view from the 8th floor of the Kimmel center was simply breathtaking. I looked down and saw the tranquil scenes of Washington Square Park and the many buildings that line the New York City Skyline. I went down to the street level and saw with my own eyes the atmosphere of the city. As I walked around I saw so many people and cultures. Only in New York can one actually find a Mexican, Indian, and Chinese restaurant all in the same street. Also the food around the campus is to die for. You simply cannot enjoy food like unless you were in New York. After seeing these sights I simply fell in love with NYU. The aroma and atmosphere of NYU is so unique. No other university (in my opinion) could offer this level of diversity in such neat package. Another that drew me to NYU is the infinite internship/job opportunities that come with living in New York. With NYU there are no boundaries that separate the actual city with the campus. They are one in the same. New York will be my classroom. More importantly, the academic rigor and difficulty of NYU is a whole another adventure itself. I picture myself at Bobst library studying my nights away. I know that NYU will prepare me with my dream of becoming a doctor, especially with the leadership and guidance of some of the brightest professors in the country. I can also continue my educational endeavors at NYU's many portal schools. The setting at NYU is amazing. I can't imagine myself at any other school.
