Undergraduate / Abercrombie Experience- Job Experience for College App. [5]

It was great but you only have to say that you turned 18 once. Either delete the first sentence or take out the "when I had turned 18" of the second sentence.

Also, maybe say that "this job helped to make me responsible" This way you seemed somewhat responsible before.

Undergraduate / Elaborating on Job Experience- Common Ap Short Answer [4]

Great essay. Here are some of my thoughts.

"much more than met the eye"

I was working with children that had difficulties learning. I came up with effective methods to help teach them and applied it to each individual in need.

Undergraduate / "I have balanced these values" - FSU Undergraduate Admission Essay [6]

Topic:
For almost one hundred years, the Latin words, "Vires, Artes, Mores" have been the guide philosophy behind Florida State University. Vires signifies strength of all kinds - moral, physical, and intellectual; Artes alludes to the beauty of intellectual pursuits as exemplified in skill, craft, or art; and Mores refers to character, custom, or tradition. Describe how one or more of the values embodied in these concepts are reflected in your life.

Response:
Values are what shape a person. They are ones standards and moral principles. They are a reflection of each and every person. My life is guided by many values, all of which are reflected constantly in my life. "Vires" and "Mores" are two Latin concepts that strongly indicate my values.

Vires alludes the multiple strengths one may have, such as moral and intellectual. I believe that moral strength is a very important quality to poses. A lot can be said about a person from their morals and values. I personally have faith that I will not waver and will stick to my morals in both undemanding and in difficult situations. Intellectual strength is also a necessary value to have. My grandmother once told me that "knowledge is the key to life." One needs knowledge every day to negotiate their way through situations. Strength is obtained everyday through life lessons and education.

Out of the several different meanings of Mores, the most prevalent in my life is the concept of character. This is the greatest thing that my high school experience has given to me. When I first walked into Martin County High School, I was dreadfully shy and preferred to just blend into the crowd. Throughout my years at Martin County though, I began to join clubs and come out of my shell socially. I have developed character throughout my high school years. I am now more of an individual than ever with high moral and ethical strength. I have developed a new confidence in myself that shines through in all that I do.

Values are what define a person. The Latin words "Vires, Artes, Mores" stands for the values that Florida State University holds. I believe that I have balanced these values within my life and would like for Florida State University to help me to further strengthen these values.
