Writing Feedback / National curriculum has been introduced into many countries for a long time [2]

A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.

National curriculum has been introduced into many countries for a long time, although some may argue that such scheme has robbed our society of substantial diversity, it is generally agreed upon consent that a unified curriculum in early education across the nation, will improve social welfare by promoting social stability and labour productivity. Therefore, the government should always enact some variants of curriculum scheme at pre-tertiary level.

Student Talk / IELTS Exam - How important is it? [13]

Good luck buddy! One thing I find helpful at beginning is to keep my sentences short and simple, and try to shun any grammatical errors.

Writing Feedback / As I study math finance-essay for SEAMS-UGM Conference 2015 quarter [2]

Hi dianessay. I am an economic graduate, and I hope my adivce would be helpful.

Government bonds is one of the form of investment that manyis attractive to investors. Investors cannot know with certainty the level of profits gained because the level of profits gained undergo a changevaries from time to time. An advantage over the level of investment bonds expressed in the percentage is called with the yield. ,In order to know the value of the yield for the next period, investors need to forecast value of yield. This research using two methods namely, by handling the outlier and without handling the outlier data on the results of an parameter estimation. Linear and non-linear parameters derived from estimation modeled first with ARIMA models . T he best model is chosen based on the smallest value ofits AIC and SBC values (the smaller the better). . Residual obtained from ARIMA models is tested for heteroscedasticity and the results haveshows siginficant heteroscedasticity properties.

I am sorry, but the above is as far as I could go. The remaining is rather confusing and hard to understand. I presume this is also only a extract of your econometric coursework? Anyway maybe some other people could follow up:)

Time series model used in handling the data without outliers using ARIMA models, ARCH-GARCH and VAR (2), while the handling of outliers on the data time series model used is only a VAR model. The best forecasting model based on criteria out sample is ARIMA model and ARCH-GARCH for handling outliers parameters without parameter done while handling outliers is best VAR models VAR (1). Furthermore, the results of forecasting linear and non-linear parameters obtained are used in constructing the yield curve. Yield curve generated by ARIMA models, ARCH-GARCH and VAR (1) is quite good compared to the VAR model (2).

Lastly, I recommend you to find a professional editor, if this is to be submitted in a high level academic conference.

Writing Feedback / Trying to devise an optimal way to teach has always been one of the priorities in pedagogic research [NEW]

The best way to teach-whether as an educator, employer, or parent-is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trying to devise an optimal way to teach has always been one of the priorities in pedagogic research, and there have been many attempts to find out the effect of reinforcers and punishers. Although there are many good evidences that bolster the positive reinforcement approach, it would be fatuous for us, the educators or instructors, to overlook the merits of constructive criticism and of appropriate punishers.

It has been mentioned by behavioural psychologist many times that incentives are powerful motivators. This claim is backed by the empirical evidences we see in real life. In the corporate world, an outstanding employee is often awarded with the title "employee of the month". The satisfaction arose from having this glory would then motivate the winner to continue his good performance such as high sales or good proposals. Furthermore, child also develops a good habit much quicker than child without positive stimulus; It has been shown by one experiment that a child take 1 week less to learn to wash his hands before eating his meal. Therefore, encouragement and praises are indeed effective pedagogic tools.

It is also true that sometimes minor misconduct could be ignored. A child who gets scold at every mistake he made is likely to become overly introverted and diffident which is undesirable. Our offspring should be allowed to be explore our world freely and to come up with his own interpretations of things. In this way, creativity is unhindered and our children could then unlock their full potential.

However, serious offense should be actively discouraged. There have been many records showing teenage criminals that have been let off the first time to commit the same crime later again. Therefore ignoring negative actions could result in some ill-consequences. Moreover, sometimes the doer might not realize that his actions is perceived as unappreciated. Hence negative feedback could serve as a signal in this case. These examples illustrate to us the importance of responding to bad actions.

In sum, there is no doubt that positive reinforcement is conducive to learning. However, teachers would do a bad job if they rely on it solely. It is the teacher's duty to maximise his student's potential, and the only way to achieve this is use to utilize every teaching techniques possible.

Thank you guys.

Graduate / I AM A CHALLENGER AND A WRITER - LSE MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION GOVERNANCE [2]

Hi cslove134, I am here to return the favor:)
My lecturer is an admission tutor of LSE in social science. His advice is try not to be too bombastic.
While your essay is certainly entertaining, i think you should try the following:

1.Try to be more down to earth. State your future career path clearly (Lie if you had to, like go on to PHD or becoming a consultant)

2.You mentioned your graduate dissertation. Maybe you could elaborate more on that?

3.Focus on what you have done to prepare yourself for this course.(Like the last three paragraphs are great)

4.State your interest: Which area do you like in media? Applied field or theoretical field.

I would really advice against this sort of writing:
The London School of Economics and Political Science - so I AM COMINGļ¼

While you might impress your reader this way, but there is not guarantee. I don't think it's worth it.

Hope this helps.
