Undergraduate / Ever since I began high school as a short, geeky freshman, I could not wait for college WHY SYRACUSE [5]
This is my first time posting on here, not really sure how it works but I have begun to write the essay and now I am lost. Any advice?
Who or what influenced you to apply to Syracuse University? (Maximum: 250 words)
Ever since I began high school as a short, geeky freshman, I could not wait for college. I spent endless hours researching colleges until one day, I stumbled upon Syracuse, and I found it was the perfect school for me. I have a passion for history, so I proceeded to research all about Syracuse's history major. Scrolling through the PDF of courses offered on my brightly lit computer screen, classes such as Modern American Presidency, Modern American Political Thought, and Women in America: Civil War to the Present jumped out at me. I love history and learning about the past, but I am also very interested in learning about the present, as I have a love for politics. Syracuse's history program is perfect for me in that it gives me the perfect education for my next step in life after college: law school. ... I do not know what else to write after this.
Thanks!
Edit:
I actually just added this: Additionally, Syracuse's newspaper, The Daily Orange, is regarded as one of the best college newspapers in the country. Being Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, I love writing articles and designing pages, and would love to have the privilege of working for one of the best college newspapers in the country.
Any feedback would be very appreciated :)
