Many students decide to apply to Emory University based on our size, location, reputation, and yes, the weather. Besides these valid reasons as a possible college choice, why is Emory University a particularly good match for you?

As a Georgia citizen, I have seen multiple friends, family members, and peers select to attend Emory University. As a child, I had always been interested in going to Emory only because everyone around me only spoke positively about his or her experiences. As I progressed into high school, I researched more about the colleges I was interested in, Emory being one of them. I began to realize Emory was immensely well rounded and presented various opportunities to its students. With nine different schools and multiple majors, Emory University holds high expectations from their students and pushes them to advance on soaring level of intellect. Emory also emphasizes the importance of volunteering and assisting the community, especially after winning a federal award in 2008 that was concentrated on community service. Emory University also allows all students to engage in athletic sports and enforces physical health on their undergraduate students by requiring them to take physical education courses. Lastly, Emory accepts and motivates cultural diversity. For example the interreligious council has representatives of multiple religious groups around campus. Emory accentuates their students by highlighting educational competiveness, communal obligations, personal health, and cultural awareness, and I feel by going to Emory I would advance and exceed in various aspects of becoming a successful and flourished person.
