Writing Feedback / Mrs. More: Describe a person you most admire, and the impact they had on you [2]

Please help me on this essay !!

Life is complicated. It is full of problems and surprises .Our job is to solve the problems and to understand the surprises in that way which makes us feel better and happier .For each of us there is one person who has been made difference in our lives. A family member, a friend or a teacher can make the difference. Sometimes these changes become part of our lives and are not easy to forget but, mostly to be admired or loved.

Mr. More is a teacher that was the most influential person in my life. I really admire hem because he always encouraged me to go to class and treat other teachers and students with respect. he also kept me out of trouble. If I ever needed any extra help in homework or to study for a test; he was there, it didn't matter which subject it was. He always told me that people are never stupid and are capable of doing any thing once you set your mind to it ; they might need more help , or take a little longer than others to learn something, but they are never stupid.

There was another time I didn't want to take a math test that I wasn't prepared for. I don't know what happened to me that day, I was determined not to take that test, but the talk and comfort and encouragement that he gave me made me believe that I could pass the test and nothing else could stop me from passing it, so I took it and I passed it.

Mr. More is easy to talk too, I could just tell hem anything because he's very honest and talks to me openly about anything in life. He was always ready to listen to me when I was feeling down. With his comfort and warm words I always felt better and important. When I needed some advice, he was there for me. He was like a friend to me. Mrs. More has a great passion and love to teach children. He has so much patience to sit down with them and explain the work to them. He never makes the school work boring; he always made it fun and exciting and easier to learn. He always did it with a smile on hir face. Mr.More completely changed my life around and made me a different person the one I am today.

Mrs. Mores was the one person who I admired the most and to whom I am very thankful because he gave me the inspiration to want become a electrical engineer, I am very glad that I met him.

Book Reports / AN ESSAY ON THE BOOK THE ALCHEMIST BY PAULO COELHO [3]

I just want feedback on this essay

The Alchemist

The most interesting thing that I have got done with is a summer job, I told myself last year when I wanted to apply for a summer job at subways that I would get the job done thru out the summer and I did .I worked a lot that summer and got a good profit out of it .In The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho the main character Santiago also get thru a job that he wanted. Santiago's personal legend and mine are similar because we both can finish what we started out. Santiago can finish a job, a journey and gets tested on it, and any task that is given to him.

Santiago's personal legend is that he can finish what he stared out with just like a job. When the crystal merchant gives Santiago a job at the store he is told he may have to stay a year or two to get what he wants, then crystal merchant tells Santiago that it's going to take a year to save up enough money for the trip to the pyramids. The crystal merchant says "I can give you the money you need to get back to your country, my son," said the crystal merchant. The boy said "I'll work for you," (35). In this quote Santiago tells himself to finish the job at the end of the year and get enough moony so that he can go to the pyramids and get the treasure, at the end he finish the job and gets enough money to continues his journey to the pyramids in Egypt. This personal legend is similar to me because I had a summer job and made a promise to myself that I would finish it and I did. I worked hard got there on time and did my duties in serving the customers that came in at subway. Santiago's personal legend and mine are the same because we both got a job and achieved in finish it to get what we both needed.

Santiago's personal legend is to finish a journey that he stared out with and to get tested along the way. When Santiago was at the Alchemist's house and talking about the soul of the world the Alchemist said "Every search begins with beginner's luck and ends with the victor's being severely tested" (145). What this quote is saying is that when you are going for a journey or searching for something you are going to start out prepared and get lucky and think that you will achieve what you're looking for and then along the way hardship might get you, you will only achieve what you are looking for thru hardship and being tested. This relates to me because once my older brother and I wanted to drive to Chicago and we started out good we had everything prepared and ready to go the food, map, and safety kit and the big survival kit as well. When we were passing by some city by Rochester we got lost and ran out of gas then I looked at the map and saw that there is a gas station nearby so we went and got gas and some snacks we needed along the way and directions that will lead us to the path that we missed earlier. When got to Chicago I was happy that we achieved what we were looking for, but with hardship. Santiago's personal legend and mine are the same because we both got thru a journey and got tested as well with hardship.

Santiago's personal legend is that he can finish any task that is given to him. When the Alchemist and Santiago were captured by the tribesmen, and been taken to their tent the chief questioned them and then the Alchemist gave them money the chief said to Santiago that he would like to see Santiago turn himself in to the wind then the Alchemist said "He needs three days, He is going to transform himself into the wind, just to demonstrate his powers. If he can't do so, we humbly offer you our lives, for the honor of your tribe."( ) . What this quote states is that Santiago is given a task to turn himself in to the wind by the chief and the Alchemist added that he needs three days to do so. At first Santiago is in fear that he would not accomplish it, but then the alchemist calms him down and says "Don't let them see that you're afraid, they are brave men, and they despise cowards."( ). What this quote is saying is that Santiago needs to be strong and not to be acting like a coward. This is related to me because some time ago I was given a task to go to the tryouts for basketball and get make the team, at first I was afraid that I would miss and wouldn't make the team then my friends cheered me on and told me that I would make it 100% then I saw that fear go away then I took my shoot and made the team. Santiago's personal legend and mine are the similar because we both can finish a task that was given to us.

Santiago's personal legend and mine are similar because we both can finish what we started out. Santiago can finish a job, a journey and gets tested on it, and any task that is given to him. Personal legends can be the same it's just different by how you approach it and if you get to the final stage and finish it and know that you are done with it and that anyone can achieve their personal legend.

Scholarship / A brief autobiography (strengths and challenges, work experience, volunteering) [6]

his conveys a creative, confident personality... impressive stuff.

A few years ago, I discovered that marketing is another field I am interested in say something more colorful here.

So in October 2007 I entered *** School of Business in *** and now I am a three and a half year student studying marketing. Meeting new people opened more horizons for me.---- This paragraph needs another sentence or two to say something meaningful about why you became interested in marketing.

I don't have that much of working experience yet. This sentence is grammatically incorrect and sort of... too self-critical. Start this paragraph with a sentence that emphasizes what you HAVE done.

... representative of Russian cell phone operator ***.

The volunteering section looks good, but do not just list everything. Describe the various accomplishments as evidence to support the main theme of the introduction of yourself to these people. What is the main theme? (YOUR main theme)

As a future marketing specialist, it is essential to understand people, and I believe that the English language is an invaluable tool in this process.

Undergraduate / "My Mother" - she will always be by my side. [9]

topic: Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you, and describe that influence.

When I am asked who or what had a significant influence on me I would tell them it's my mother. It took me a while to figure out that my mother had the most extraordinary influence on my life .My mother had influenced me in many ways and has molded me to be what I am today a hard working person . The reason of why my mother is the one who influenced me the most are because of her unique characteristic, perseverance, and her sense of responsibility.

The characteristic of my mother is none of what I have seen in other people .She has a unique character from my point of view. At times I view her as being a role model to me. The characteristic that I value in her is that the quick instinct that something should be done if there is a problem, her skills as being a house wife, and her reaction to a situation. One day while my mom was driving me to school she noticed that the car's tires lacked air and the car wasn't moving as usual then she quickly stopped at the nearest car station to get some air as she was filling the ties with she then noticed that one of the tiers had a leak. Luckily for her the gas station we were at repaired tiers after we exchanged the tiers we were on our way to school. If it wasn't for my mother's quick instant we could have got stuck in the freeway. My mother influenced me though her unique characteristic to become what I am today a hard working person.

The perseverance that my mother narrated in her stories about her life that she used to tells us about teaches me never to give up on anything that would be beneficial to me and in make me a successful person in life. In the late 1900's when war broke out in Somalia my mother knew that it would be for the best to immigrate to America, but at the same time that getting in to America was risky . She knew that if she got to America she could get to America she would be successful in her life. She never gave up and arrives in America in 1993. When got here in America her dream was to succeed in life and to have the courage never to give up. It was by these stories in which inspired me never to give up in life and when something does not work out you just got to live with it.

By having a sense of responsibility my mother would fulfill her task, duty or obligation. As part of being a house wife my mother never failed to look after us well, and to take good care of us. She is the kind of mother that would gather the family together for family nights, and the kind of person who would help out the neighborhood and the community to make everything the way they should be because she felt that she had a sense of responsibility over all that. My mother taught me how to become a more responsible person. In one word the sense of responsibility helps me to succeed in life and to have a sense of accomplishment. My mother influenced me in becoming a responsible person in life and I'm very grateful for that.

There are many ways in which my mother influenced me to become what I am today and some of those things are her characteristics, perseverance, and her sense of responsibility. I have learned to truly value them by watching my mother while I grew up. Those characteristic make me glad that she is my mother. And she was always by my side.
