Undergraduate / "honored to meet George Washington" - NYU, Person Supplement. [4]

Hello Guys.

I am really, really running out of time to apply to NYU AbuDhabi I have to finish everything by tomorrow. I would be glad if you correct this for me

If you had the opportunity to bring any person -- past or present, fictional or nonfictional -- to a place that is special to you (your hometown or country, a favorite location, etc), who would you bring and why? Tell us what you would share with that person.

The USA have witnessed a long history full of wars, events and many different presidents, until it got to where it is now. I would bring the father of the nation to D.C to share with him the sublime achievements that US have accomplished and how the capital of the world is now named after him. This man has started this staggering country. Without him, America might never existed. He gave us an example on how to be neutral and great in the same time. I would be honored to meet George Washington.

Graduate / "I wanted to be an Engineer" - My SOP , first paragraph [4]

I can remember the day, when I was asked by one of my most respected teachers in my school. What are my plans for the near future?

My reply was that I want to be an Engineer. My School teacher was highly disappointed
because in our country the best students are highly expected to be doctors, especially girls. The Medical profession is very popular here and is a great way to earn lots of money. He/She { try to not repeat (my school teacher) a lot } asked me why I wanted to be an Engineer? On that early age of my life I simply answered, " I want to do something innovative and creative by which the next generation would be benefited of". Even though I didn't know much about the real aspect of life, I still wanted to be a scientist and spend my life in doing innovative researchs because that was my dream. Today, I am still motivated by this dream. I want to pursue Ph.D. admission because I think it is the best way to make this dream comes reality.

I am not an English native speaker so sorry if i missed anything, I tried to make it as good as I can :) I hope this helped. Let me know if it didnt :P

Undergraduate / NYU Abu Dhabi Essay, Global Network. [6]

Hello Guys this is my first thread here.
I am not a Native speaker so I would be greatful if you guys correct any mistakes I have.
This essay is for NYU Abu Dhabi.

NYU is 'In and of the City' and 'In and of the World.' What does the concept of a global network university mean to you? How do you think studying in New York City, Abu Dhabi, or one of NYU's global sites would change you as a person and equip you to build cross-cultural relationships at NYU and beyond?

Studying in an American University in the Arabic world surrounded by international students is the best way to experience diverts of cultures and religions. All students at NYU are ambassadors of their countries that are gathered in one place to study and represent where they come from. Learning about their traditions and backgrounds would make me a wiser person in life. It will make me more conscious of how people are enjoying the beauty of life around the world. :)
