Writing Feedback / 'Attitude for the changing world' Ielts Writing Task 2 [3]

Thank you so much for helping me

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

In our last fifty years, the pace of change in human life has been beyond our imagination. That has been impacted by the development of technology. However, the more things are created, the more matters are destroyed. Therefore, someone wants stay unchanged, while others believe that changes are always beneficial. This essay will take a brief look in both two views.

People who want to keep their living pace stable base their argument on the price of change. In some cases, improvement in technology causes labor-saving. Telegraph was a perfect illustration. In late 1930s, well over half a million telegrams were being sent per day in the US. However, after the growth of telephone, it displaced the telegraph as the best tool for remote communication. As a result, a great deal of Morse code operators lost their jobs. As for this sample, even if people resist themselves from changing, they couldn't prevent the world from changing. Sooner or later they have to adapt or lose their things.

Nevertheless, the inevitable change does not mean that it is always for the better. People will not forget the day the United States conducted two atomic bombings against the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. So far, nuclear weapon still has been a terrible danger of human distinct. Moreover, invading privacy is an obvious inconvenience of digital world. With a cell phone, people can easily take private videos of others before posting them on Youtube. Worse than that, government could listen any civilian's phone calls that it regards.

In a nutshell, changing is an inescapable matter of our life. However, not any change gets a better outcome. Therefore, better preparation will help us avoid inconveniences in this life.

Writing Feedback / "Some pig!" (the power of language frames) [2]

...Charlotte's Web by E. B. White is a children's book ->(I think that) a typical book for children (is better)

....in fact the power of language...-> in fact, the power...

...Wilbur is at first insecure and feels uncomfortable because he doesn't consider himself anything more than an "average pig"...-> In the first insecure, he (because there is Wilbur before) feels uncomfortable because he doesn't consider himself as anything more than an "average pig".

The words knitted in the web show the power of language also by the influences they hadon (I think in this case "from " is more suitable) minor characters.

After the spider writes the words "some pig" on the web, Mr Zuckerman starts to believe that he has a pig "completely out of the ordinary"( White 80).

As the power in language increases so does the frame created by it;....-> fragment sentences

----------

In general, I think you should reconsider about the Verb Tense when you want to refer details from a book. In my opinion, it should be in Past Tense.

Writing Feedback / Da Nang and Da Lat, Vietnam: Compare and contrast two places you have visited [4]

Thank you so much for correcting my essay

Da Nang and Da Lat are the most beautiful cities in Vietnam. In these places, there are many attractive landscapes to visit. Despite of some differences, they share values that make them become the best city in Vietnam for leisure.

The first difference of them is their location. On one hand, Da lat is a romantic mountainous city with old hotels from French colonization and tall pines that shade the street. On the other hand, Da Nang is positioned to be a charming urban by the sea where the long seaside is sparkle under the sun. Women are also another difference. At Da Lat, they are soft and graceful in Ao dai, a traditional cloth of Vietnam. In contrast, Da Nang's female are strong and healthy in bikini. Foods are also distinguishable. While Da lat is famous for temperate marmalade such as strawberry, orange, Da nang is known as paradise of seafood.

Beside these differences, Da Lat and Da Nang are similar in some aspects. First, both of them are peaceful. Unlike Hochiminh City, the most active city of Vietnam, the speed of pace in these cities is slow. People roam along beautiful pavements to sightseeing instead of urging to work. Clean atmosphere is another similarity. These are good place to relax, to avoid dirty air of industrial cities. Furthermore, people in there are hospitable. That makes feel as they are in home.

In conclusion, these are cities I love. Undoubtedly, I convince that these are the most desirable cities in Vietnam. Those are where people could find peace and balance which are luxurious in modern life.
