Writing Feedback / Characteristics we are born with have much more influence on our personality n development [5]

Research indicates that the characteristics we are born with have much more influence on our personality and development than any experiences we may have in our life.

Which do you consider to be the major influence?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
It is often a hot topic of debate that a person's personality is majorly influenced with the characteristics with which he/she is born than with his overall life experiences. While the debate may continue for ages, I believe that a child personality cannot be said to be only determined by his childhood traits. If this would have been true then all the personality development centers would have shut down by now.

There are many debatable reasons for this, few of which can be discussed here. Firstly, if we consider that a person's personality is mainly influenced by his traits with which he is born, then we are completely ignoring the importance of education and society in our life. As a child grows up, he comes in contact with lot of things which shapes his personality. His logical reasoning capacity develops and he enters the state of judgment about why a thing is wrong or right.

If a child is naughty during his childhood, nobody can claim that he will remain the same when he grows up. Similarly if we try to do a back calculation, by seeing a criminal, nobody can tell for sure that the person had this kind of criminal traits since birth.

Secondly, Experience matters a lot. In every sphere of life it is "THE MOST" important thing for any person. A childhood trait cannot determine whether a person will be a leader or not, it is his experience in the relevant field along with real life situations and struggles, that determines his way forward in life.

Hence, in conclusion, I would like to say that experience is everything for a person's life. It makes you or breaks you but it is always with you and always teaches you an important lesson in life.

Writing Feedback / Work or travel before university; very difficult to resume after discontinuation [4]

In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.

Nowadays, an increasing number of high school students prefer working before they attend university. While this trend is generally endorsed in many western countries such as America, Britain etc. the same does not hold true universally. Countries such as India have different perspective to look at this issue. Taking a break from studies for a year or so for whatever reasons - be it for work or for traveling is not looked at very positively. Needless to say there are differences in thought procedures between the east and west.

In western countries mostly, where students are encouraged to work for a year before starting university studies helps a lot for the overall career building of the students. The students can become self-dependent and they tend to learn the art of living at an early age. Those who want to join university again for higher studies may become more determined by seeing their highly qualified bosses and may study hard in university for getting a good score and proper knowledge.

To the flip side of the situation, working or traveling for a year before university studies may not be a very good idea. Once there is a discontinuation of a something then it becomes very difficult to resume it. Moreover if a student starts earning at a younger age then he/she may be distracted with the charm of money and may not be able to go back to studies again.

Hence, if a student has a firm determination of higher studies then taking a break from studies for traveling or working is not an issue. It may encourage him more to fill his worldly desires by the power of Higher education. On the reverse scenario he may not turn back and go back for university studies.

Scholarship / "One Life" - Singapore scholarship [3]

Well i am not a expert to give to give you my feedback , I am a novice like you.

But still i would like to add few thing. Your way of starting the essay is good but i think the divisions of the period of your life could have been written better.

I especially find the second stage to be a misfit. In fact the things that u have highlighted can be done while you are working or studying, There need not be any separate stage in your life for that.

There are few sentence construction and grammatical errors.

Well anyway!!! All the best and may you get in your dream university

Writing Feedback / hometown clean - if you could change one important thing about your hometown? [3]

The topic chosen for change is very good :) .

But i think in the second paragraph the ideas could have been put in a more formatted way. The points covered are nice but if you could work more on writing style, i think you would definitely get a score. All the best

Writing Feedback / 'Education and social disharmony' - IELTS [5]

"Some people think that education system is the only critical factor for development of any country. " - To what extent do you agree to this???

Education forms the basis of any society. A well educated society is always able to deliver best results be it cultural
heights or technical genius. Needless to say that every things comes with its pros and cons. While some people believe
that Educational system is the only critical factor for the development of a country , there are others who consider
educational system to be one of the critical factor for the development of any country.

Education is the necessity of any society. The concept of truth, honesty, trust all these virtues depends very much on
our education. When a child goes to school he not only learns the text that are given in his books but he also learns
lot of other things such as mannerisms, broader view of the world as whole, interactive styles etc. to name a few. When
he sits in class he forgets all the differences of caste and creed and there is only one boss of the class - the teacher.

With education people come across such a lot of real life situations that their analytical and logical part of the brain
starts functioning a lot compared to an uneducated person.

Every year government allocates a huge amount of money for health and hygiene problems. If the citizens of a country are
educated then it will be a lot easier for the government of any country to make them aware of the health hazards. Small
issues such as washing hands properly can be taught more easily. Moreover the root of any family is the woman of the
family. If she is not educated then she will not be able educate her future generations. Moreover problems of increase
in population can also be dealt with if the foundation of any house is strong.

Nevertheless, there are always a night after a day. When a society becomes educated the level of corruption is also very
high. Sophisticated techniques find its way to harm mankind with the high level of education. It is not only education
which brings about development of a country, factors such as correct way of thinking, right judgement for any
situation, social harmony also contribute a lot for the development of any country.

In sum, it can be concluded that even if we include other critical factors for the development of any country the
basics are still the same - Education. If a people of country get the right kind of education they will be inherently
having the right judgement capacity. Social disharmony can be avoided and the growth of any country cannot be stopped.
