Here is my own essay on this topic:

[Intro] I agree with the selective roommate system by university and strongly believe that dormitory ambiance is as much important as the major and the rank of university we are studying at. As much as an incongruous roommate can negatively affect dormitory living experience, it could have significant adverse impact on the academic experience.

[Body #1]Coherency among roommates plays an important role in dormitory life,as such the less the variance among roommates, the more joyful and stress-free the university life will be.Consider one tough day in university and you just want to get some rest at your room, but when you arrive there, you face with the room packed with musician university students playing loudly and making it impossible for you to have some rest.Therefore roommates with the same major and being at the same level,say both sophomores or juniors, can give positive feedback on each other both on academic life and quotidian life.In my opinion the odds are low that an electrical engineer can get a long readily with a musician.

[Body #2] When there is a choice for selecting your own roommate it helps to bolster your distinguishing capability on people which also works when selecting your life partner.considering your own faults and flaws and select another roommate considering their own faults and flaws can improve partner selection ability not only in university life but in real life.university students are getting ready to enter society, but when this entrance is only packed with academic experience and not a bit of real life experience, there is probability that this lack of pragmatic experience lead to job opportunities deterioration.

[Body #3]For even better choice over roommates, university could step forward and build databases based on applicants traits and make it easier and help students choose their own roommates better, and even make it more systematic by providing default but flexible roommate agreements. For example beforehand the terms begin, make it mandatory to fill some forms about their personal traits and criteria they expect their roommates to have, like the matchmaking websites; in this case the possibilities of miscongruity amongst roommates decreases drastically.

[Conclusion] As I described, it is necessary to provide selecting choice of roommates for university students for that it could help burgeon social skills of students along with their academic skills and provide students with friendly atmosphere which is necessary for having joyful academic experience.

GRE Issue Topic:
"As people rely more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate"
Essay:
This technology dependency issue is partly right for some specific people who are practicing their rudimentary academic skills; on the contrary technology has helped lots of people to live an easier life and even make more rational decisions.

We can divide humans into two broad categories; first category includes creative people, who by means of their mental ability makes innovative approaches to overcome human being natural faults and flaws;second category, which I call consumers, are people who make use of the first category achievements.

While the first category is immune to losing thinking ability, the second category can be vulnerable to this thinking deterioration.The second category comprised of two sub-categories called "academic part" and "non-academic part".

The so-called "non-academic part" is somehow immune to this deterioration, but if wrongly utilized, technology can worsen thinking ability of "academic part"; for instance, misusing calculator or computer by "academic part" exacerbates the vision needed to become a member of first category.

As I have discussed earlier, technology, on the whole, does not have negative effect on human thinking ability except when misused during rudimentary academic practicing.
