Graduate / How well will the internet of things keep us secure? [2]

Change is inevitable and every one of us seems to like change. Technology firms are enjoying the taste of time through huge sales of internet aware devices/gadgets and great applications. The so called internet has rapidly changed the way we live. IDC estimates the installed base of connected devices will reach 212 billion by the end of 2020 .If you think about the number of passwords we use on those social networks, the PINs we provide online for banking against the ever increasing number of internet devices. One has to wonder if they will ever be a gigantic electronic fence that will safeguard people`s privacy and confidential info.

Federation services on most sites however, has resolved this increasing list of passwords through reuse of the same credentials. But think of the complexity of passwords the world is using. Approximately 80% of these are weak passwords and only 20% still stand not be easily cracked.

Throughout my IT career as a Solutions Architect, l worked with great security specialists but none of them seemed to worry about Internet being a Time Bomb.

Change can be expensive but if its for a good concern l guess that's better.There is reasonable doubt that encryption of data/information can protect us. My proposal to the world is why can`t we implement Biometric technology for authentications and authorizations on all systems and deplete the use of passwords. My proposal may seem so vague to some but from a Capitalist standpoint it puts a smile of his/her face. Why? Because money in his/her bank account matters most.

Please respond to my idea before l partake my journey to Protect the world.

Graduate / "IT Career guidance and the advent of Cloud is paramount to change GDPs for poor nations" [3]

My story is short but it can change the problems poor countries are facing. Having completed a BSc honors in Information Systems I have worked for various IT/Financial/Training firms and I realized that knowing the right path to follow in any career is highly important not only to the success of an individual or business but largely to the rate of development of the country. I have consulted for many businesses in South Africa and I was very fortunate to meet old experienced folks during my 20`s who mentored me into knowing the right path I need to follow in my IT career. My dream was nurtured in a way that confidence is now driving me into establishing a Global IT firm that aims to embrace skills development and mentoring, IT Governance Advisory, and Business Analysis.

Having acquired a couple of International certifications too, my decision to embark on an MBA at Varsity XXX will cement my thoughts and vision to change economically challenged businesses and countries at large. Having a bird`s eye insight to business needs require a very flexible and steady mind. With the advent of Cloud computing and the ever-changing trends, the exponential drop in internet data charges can be utilized at the advantage of poor nations to promote IT skills sets in most communities and drive innovation towards change.

During my work experience l have discovered that many business are struggling to make sound decisions due to lack of adequate insights. With Business intelligence l can help Business owners, Managers and potential tomorrow`s ambassadors to gather insights with less effort , time and cost through leveraging the cloud platform. I am glad to be an IT expert and a fan of technology and I strongly believe that I can change this world to be a better and friendly place. My journey through the MBA courseware will improve my thinking and the way I perceive Global success.
