The major part of my life, I've spent away from home. With the diversity of exposure I got from being away from home, I have been able to understand that every person is unique and every individual is creative. This understanding served the most in making me a team player. My initiatives as a leader in various activities in my institute, have been largely successful, as I could bring the best out of my team.

Currently, I work in an Internet of things based software start-up. The company didn't have a detailed training programme. My job has been overwhelming as I come from an Electronics background, and also quite demanding in core computer science concepts. Day by day, pressure has piled up, but I stayed motivated and never gave up. I still worked on my application to ISB YLP, on the one hand, and started learning all the technologies involved in my company's product, on the other hand. My experience in this short period has taught me how real life experiences make you come out of your comfort zone and push yourselves beyond your limits.

The experience I gathered leading many teams in my college, the expertise i've built up in articulating ideas, the excellence i've displayed in the academic projects have boosted my confidence levels in what I can do. Continuous self assessment has always been a tool for me to learn and improve. With the determination to learn and excel along with the creativity, compassion and hard work, I believe I would make a good contribution to the learning from peers in ISB!

Since my college days, I have always been more motivated in a task which has a direct impact on society. My role as a sponsorship core member for my college fest has made me realize the interest I have towards Marketing. Taking this interest forward - I did a marketing internship under an IIM Lucknow professor, to learn the subject and also went ahead becoming a student partner for an online leading internship site ' Internshala' , for which I marketed Internshala products, in my institute. Though the subject has interested me, I introspected on how I can make people's life better by marketing something? The question has occupied my mind for quite some time. Many experiences I have had, have convinced me of the unique role that marketing plays in society .To name one :- One day, when I saw an Ariel advertisement in which the message "Share the load"-asking men to share the load, was passed on; I understood the beauty of marketing in bringing a change and have firmly decided to make a career in marketing. It is in this way my short term goal of learning Marketing management from a leading B-school and making a career as a marketing manager, has emerged!

I don't have a long term goal yet. I believe in the saying: The advantage you have yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow. With this awareness, I completely believe in working efficiently towards my short term goals, leading to a holistic understanding of the opportunities that the future reveals.

With the opportunities that ISB provides with its well designed curriculum and expert faculty, I believe,as I work with passion and perseverance ,a goal to be pursued in the long term, would surely emerge.
