The prompt is: why you want to do this master (interests, career path), why you qualify for it (strengths).

Dear Members of the Admissions Committee,

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I submit this application for the Master of Science UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance. My aspiration to build a career in financial risk management and consulting stems from a deep fascination with how advanced analytical methods can address real-world financial complexities and strategic challenges. This program's emphasis on computational finance and statistical modeling aligns perfectly with my career ambitions, intellectual passions, and personal strengths.

My passion for mathematics has been a defining constant since before I began high school, placing in the 97th percentile in a national U.S. mathematics exam and acceptance into university level Advanced Placement courses in Calculus I, Statistics, and Physics while in High School. I active participation in my school's mathematics team and investment club.

In 2018, at the age of 18, I founded and scaled my first business, growing revenues from $23,000 to $183,000 by 2022, navigating the business-related challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic while pursuing full-time undergraduate studies in Finance at Messiah University. My academic journey deepened my fascination with quantitative methodologies, culminating in a project where I independently modeled a full Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test for a large U.S. bank. Beyond business and academics, I gained leadership and research experience as an investment club, performing in-depth research and analysis of a company's financial performance and then present it to the rest of the club. I was also on the University's NCAA men's lacrosse team and volunteered for 2 years as a mathematics teacher for adults seeking their high school diplomas.

I sold my company in 2023, and began a German Language school in Lucerne, pursued a life goal of becoming bilingual. I maintained my love of statistics and investing by using Python to develop quant strategies to implement in my own portfolio. These strategies have primarily focused on Mean Reversion using Bollinger Bands, and Statistical Arbitrage. In further preparation for this program, I enrolled at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts MSc in Banking and Finance program. Taking classes in Time Series analysis, derivatives pricing models, programming in Python, and Regression Analysis. Alongside completed additional online statistics and derivatives courses from the University of Amsterdam. Simultaneously, I have been preparing for my CFA Level 1, as I believe the analytical rigor of the CFA curriculum complements the academic depth of this program.

The ETH Zurich - University of Zurich Master's Program in Quantitative Finance aligns seamlessly with my career aspirations in financial risk management and consulting. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to participate in the CFA Investment Challenge during this program and I am confident that the program's rigorous curriculum and collaborative environment will equip me with the analytical tools and global perspective necessary to excel in these fields.

Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to contribute to and learn from this exceptional program.

The rest of this paragraph is too vague to gain the interest of the reviewers. You are not saying anything in this section that would drive them to show interest in your application. It would help if you provided the summarized form of your interests, paths, and goals for their consideration. It should help to drum up some interest in the rest of your essay, depending upon how well you frame your responses to the required information in short form.

efore I began high school,

Do not provide such amateur response considerations. You are applying for a masters course, therefore, your interests and reference points should be based on professional exposure and work related goals or needs already. You are weakening your application with this reference.
