letter of Motivation

Hello EssayForum community! I am looking to apply for MSc Human Computer Interaction in Universität Siegen for Summer semester 2020. I would really appreciate some suggestions on the below essay. Thank you so much!

Myself XXXX, I am writing to express my profound interest in the Master Degree program in Human computer interaction Offered by Bauhaus University in Weimar.

I have completed my undergraduate degree in BSc.Applied Science from PSG College Of Technology with majors in Computer and Math. I have obtained knowledge in various subjects that I had in my bachelors. This course is a fusion of engineering and science placed in an engineering college so that the students gain both practical and theoretical knowledge in their studies. The basis for concentrating a major is made hard through electives and increased during the final semester project, where we had fantastic possibilities to engage with real-world challenges.

My first encounter with interface development was in a web designing course, which led me to explore further and broaden my perception of this field through HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Javascript. Through this course I had an idea about how the user interface really works and I have built a school website for a mini project. After the completion of this course I have developed interest in application development and designing. I love to design an application which is simple and usable for everyone, and I always consider suggestions people give about my work and I want it to be understandable for users.

Further I identified myself as an aesthetic creative person when I always wanted different perfection in my work, things I did, even social media compared to others. Also when nobody around me doesn't even bother about how the technology really works and how it is so useful, usable and understandable but I cared about all of this when I got my first smart phone which gave me a modernized way to interact with interfaces. After digging into the design field I found that some applications are very intractable and easy to use with simple UI design. Why can't all the applications can not do the same? Why are apps with complicated interfaces frustrating for Users? How some simple design is applicable for everyone irrespective of ages? I even did lots of research but that is not sufficient to make myself clear about this field.

Humans and Computers are more than friends now-a-days ,we humans can not live without the help of them even nobody from the 21st century imagines a life without the support of this technical machine but I wonder how an electronic thing plays an important role in our lives and how it is sometimes so comfortable to use, who is behind it? That's when I came to know about it. There are so many fields working behind it, I even thought they are psychologists but how come a psychologist modeling electronic stuff rather than observing the behavior of human activities? How psychology really plays a magnificent role in Human computer interaction and observing humans behaviors towards technology.

These are a few questions I wish to explore at the Bauhaus University through the master's program in Human Computer Interaction.

My efforts paid off when I obtained a job with Cognizant Technology Solution(CTS) as a Zen-C programmer and graduated from college with a First Class. I delayed my joining because of my interest in User Experience Design and User Interface. Further sharpen my knowledge I have enrolled in Google's UX Design course "Foundation in User Experience Design" on Coursera. This course was a great resource for understanding the basics of the entire design process and also highlighted the role accessibility and inclusivity play in creating a better design experience in this modernized world and by this course I had an basic idea about UX design. Also enrolled in "Introduction to User Experience Design" by Georgia Tech on Coursera which is a great course directly taken by Georgia tech professors which gives a better understanding of Human Computer Interaction(HCI).

After completing my bachelor's degree in May 2022 I had a chance to explore my father's business. There I came to know about how really my father's business(Fertilizer shop) works also helped to raise the profits by my ideas. Then I came up with the idea of making a web application of my own for our business and I started off with the questions. Will it really work? Will it really work on all people who are purchasing our product? Will it satisfy everyone? After my research I have found that I am lacking behind the experience and I had no solution, because most of our customers are above 60s and I don't have idea how this age group people will interact with application for our business, that is the pain point of my research which leads to the frustration whether creating a webpage is usable and understandable for everyone using our product. And I have found myself lacking behind so I wanted to increase my ability to think and implement in situations like this. This is also the reason for my interest in Human computer interaction.

Human Computer Interaction creates an enormous change in the future by not letting any bad interfaces affect humans and it would help me to sharpen my knowledge with the real world technologies. It is an interdisciplinary field of research that studies the relationships between people and technology. UX to help me improve User Interaction Design, Usability, and functionality. With lack of experience and education I can't be good in this field. I wish to explore and experience more about this field through the master program.

Germany is the first on the list when I thought of studying abroad because of its high-end research facilities, Affordability, Top ranking universities and a well developed tech market which leads me to further enhance my career. Also lack of master degrees related to Human computer interaction in India, that's the reason for my decision to pick Germany for masters. Then I found Bauhaus University offering masters in Human Computer Interaction with a well developed and structured curriculum. Also, Bauhaus University specializes in artistic and technical field studies which is beneficial in this field and has international standards which helps me to brighten my future with diverse individuals around the world. HCI at your university will enable me to achieve my dream. Eventually, I appreciate your time to review my application.

Heed the warning about the last chance. This will be the first and last redacted essay from you that will receive a review.

The focus of this essay is scattered as it combines too many irrelevant essays into the motivational aspect. The majority of this presentation turned into a personal statement and academic biography. Those are not a part of the academic and career goals. Those are required aspects of the motivational letter. It appears that only the last part of the essay somewhat qualifies as relevant. This is not a good reflection of this paper. The reviewer will not read that far before deciding not to continue reading this.

Get it on track with a motivational target from the first paragraph. Develop a new letter.
