I am very pleased to hear that you and your family are fine. In the last letter, you asked me what we should do to protect the environment in our area. I have thought a lot about it and found out some solutions.

The first measure I think is to hold a ''clean-up" campaign in the neighborhood. As you see, nowadays, paths, rivers and lakes are covered with garbage which not only smell unpleasant but also do harm to our health. When you move to the next paragraph pertaining to the environment, make the letter more engaging by discussing activities that you can do together during her next visit or when you go to visit her. While the essay asks you to consider a serious topic, the friendly tone and connection between friends should not be lost in the discussion. The talk about the environment is meant to be the strengthening topic for your friendship.
