Research on drugs and its effect in the U S Economy (need a strong thesis)

I am doing a research paper on drugs and I need a strong thesis. Can anyone help me please?

The illegal drug market in the United States is the most profitable in the world, law enforcement agencies face enormous challenges in attempting to enforce drug laws.

You should not be on drugs when writing your research paper!

Just kidding. Listen, dude, the thesis statement is not something you are supposed to think about before beginning the paper. You should write a paragraph about the main idea of one article. Then, do that for a few more articles.

When you have several paragraphs, then MAYBE you can think about writing a thesis statement at the end of the first paragraph. Write the intro paragraph last. Write the thesis statement last last.
