Nowadays, South Korea is virtually playing a leading role in cultural content industry. Satisfying viewers from different cultures worldwide with great contents makes Korean culture inserted between digital media attracts interests and impressively leads to huge Korean Wave phenomenon. After "Korean Fever"exploded in Thailand around 2006, Thai people are influenced by Korean culture. It embeds in everything we do from the clothes we wear to the drama we see. Moreover,Korean cultural contents rapidly has direct effect on Thai content industry. Therefore, these changes inspired me to enthusiastically interest in studying Korean cultural content planning strategy. As a works in Thailand's leading film company, I am a diligent, enthusiastic, and highly responsible person, whom influenced by the world of digital media since young. I found that Dongguk university prestigious reputation has been well recognized as the leader in teaching of digital media field. For this reason, I am applying to the MA in Cultural Contents Planning at Dongguk University
While studying undergraduate degree, My research topic titled "Reflection of Japanese Culture in Manga" which opened up an opportunity for me to learn and added up to my interest on cultural contents. During the time, I also played an active role in the university's life by being selected the Head of Student Committee on arts and culture, and had been developed my rounded skills by doing many activities for example preparation and publication of a magazine of the students of the department, and arrangement of seminars for the purpose of exchanging ideas on cultures. Apart from my academic achievements, I was selected as an intern to work in a government agency 'Thailand Creative and Design Center' in the Project Coordinator position, which offered me an invaluable experience in exhibition management and involvement in the creative industry. My article titled 'Creative Will' was published in Creative Thailand Magazine which encouraged me to have more confidence in my ability and intention to work towards more development of the creative industry. After graduation I was offered a job at Sahamongkol Film company which is the biggest production and distribution company in Thailand owning works such as 'Ong Bak''Tom Yam Kung'. Working as a content editor helped me to improve my knowledge in various aspects of the domestic and international film industries and gain me understanding market needs. Hence, both of my academic backgrounds and working experience have helped to raise my interests and widen my analytical, critical, creative thinking skills. In addition to my academic and job interests, I usually spend my free time reading and watching films. I have Russian as a third language and currently study Korean in the beginning course.
For my future goal, I am certain that achieving KGSP scholarship and studying at Dongguk University will help me to understand the Strategy of cultural contents planning and will no doubt lead to further unification of my goals and areas of study. Pursuing my MA in Cultural Contents Planning at Dongguk University will definitely enhance my perspectives, which I believe would be an advantage for my future career and would enable me to get an opportunity to create network with a global networks with the people with common interests. Acquiring more advanced techniques and strategy as operated in Korea would also contribute to my grate performance in the field.
