Art for Little Hearts/ Common App on ECA

COMMON APP ESSAY 1000 characters. On ECA.

I softened the music and focused the spotlight on Wasim Kapoor, an eminent artist, who was inaugurating the exhibition of my Grandfather's paintings, which were to be sold to raise money for children's heart surgeries-my incentive to work,to click photos of the paintings for the Invitation Card,to visit the Guests of Honour, to study during the car rides to the radio station. It had been especially difficult to get the RJ to publicize "Arts for Little Hearts" during the prime time show and I ended up recording the advertisement. The most tiresome part was food-tasting.I had visited 7 caterers and tasted almost 50 dishes before I got to the apt supplier. My brother made me keep a track on the expenditures on the florists and decorators. The most fun part was the dance practices on the weekends with all my friends, which reminded me that I had to touch up my makeup and go on the stage for the performance. The pageant had been a success raising money for 97 operations.

i think it is a good topic, but it is missing you in it. the party where you takl about food tasting and expenditures seems rather irrelevant. i think it might help if you talk more about what it meant to you personally and how you really helped push it through.
