As Media Coordinator, you'd find me in these two places: behind the camera or behind a laptop.
Behind the camera, it's all about planning and flexibility. I have to be on the lookout for specific shots that I want to capture and make the most out of that single moment (experience, or event). At times I failed to capture some shots, and that's when I learned to make the most of what I had.
Behind the laptop, I have the freedom to create. As I string together clips of my youth group at a Habitat for Humanity worksite, I realize that my role is never a bore because of the different activities, events, and places. Whether or not the video effectively communicates and leaves an impression is all in my control. After a long night of editing, my creative person is satisfied by the applaud of the audience.
