"Let's go for a coffee" a friend says to me.Despite of my answer,I instinctively think "Renata, evaluate the opportunity cost. What are you missing by going for a coffee?."Once when I caught myself doing this, I realized how fond of economics I had grown to even link mundane situations with it.I scrutinize a lot and I like to consider various effects of a daily event: on the people,in the long-run and the short-run, and this is also what Economics offers me;when I read about inflation,I start thinking about possible advantages and disadvantages but still,I have heaps of knowledge to gain.Furthermore, after being exposed to the plethora of perspectives of my peers from over 70 countries,I have concluded that regardless of the different perspectives of the same issues, whether that is globalization or poverty, the most important thing is to agree on its solution. Therefore, by combining International Relations with Economics I would seek methods of improving equality and efficiency while thinking globally.
