Prompt #1: Describe the world you come from and tell us how it has shaped your dreams and aspirations.

as many critiques as possible, id really appreciate it.

I've been exposed to many different types of characters, with each, lived a different life. We all want to judge others and assume we know where they've been. However we truly don't. We find it difficult understand why people act the way they do. I've always been fascinated by Freud's elements of personality: the id, the ego and the superego, and the ways they work together to create complex human behaviors. In school, I've always showed concern in helping others solve their problems. With friends, I've always gained the trust to learn secrets and explore their innermost thoughts. For every result I'd ask: "Why ?", like, "Why does she act that way?" or "Why does he get high?". I've encountered many exposures to physical and emotional behaviors pertaining to relationships among individuals that I find quite appealing.

We all have experienced anxiety, sadness, and many other emotions. I'd always compared my family to others and notice how problems had an either positive or negative effect. In my family, my mother would always talk about how difficult my father was and explained how it was because of the way he was raised. She told me how he was neglected as a child and somehow it trickled down to his relationship to the family. I've seen how my parent's arguments had negative effects on my sister that eventually pushed her away. I've seen how severe stress affected my mother how she suffered from anxiety attacks. I've observed the psychological effects of divorced or the absence of parents on close friends that ranged from anger to extreme depression to drug abuse. I've perceived so many dysfunctional families and ways it affected individuals.

An increasing number of people suffer from many psychology diseases, experience stress or depression and need someone to talk to. In my opinion, I think that psychologists are very necessary nowadays just as doctors are. Psychology encompasses many areas of life. We can use this knowledge everywhere. They say that students who study psychology want to cope with their problems. I agree with this statement, because first we must know everything about ourselves before we help someone. In hope to pursue my interest in psychology, I feel that the information will be very useful in my everyday life, especially to help my parents understand themselves, even in the future to help communicate with my own children.

good essay! it would be better though if you described the world you come from: your home, your school maybe.
