Tell us what makes Stanford a good place for you.
The college admissions and selection process is perhaps one of the most important one that will have the greatest impact on one's career. It not only influences the career, but the personality, views, and lifestyle of an individual. And when I think of Stanford University, I think of the feelings of freshness and independence, which parallels the Stanford's motto "The wind of Freedom blows". I know exactly what type of professional career I will pursue after schooling, and that Stanford would provide me with a solid foundation for that goal.
During one of my visits to the campus, I talked to a professor from the Department of Aeronautics and Aerospace. What struck me was the passion with which he talked about his field of study. The earnestness of the students, faculty, scholars, and administration creates a great environment, which ultimately results in the achievement of success. Through research and my step sister's experiences at the Stanford University, I realized that Stanford's features not just extend to excellent academics, but other aspects of life as well. In high school I like being involved in the extracurricular activities, like participating in my school's engineering club and Science Olympiad team, and I love to play sports, as I have secured perfect positions in the regional swimming competitions. As the president of the Engineering Club, I have leaded the club in several robotics competitions like JETS, Botball, and VEX robotics. These aspects of my life, and the great sports traditions & a multitude of clubs and organizations of Stanford, make it a great choice for me.
