Hi, I am new member of this forum,this is my my essay(essay for NTU -singapore).The topic is a subject of personal importance.
.I know there will be many mistakes in my essay ,reading it may be boring,I appreciate any feedback
Since a child, I was always inquisitive about everything surrounding me, I kept questioning why something works this way ,not that way. So, when it comes to a discussion of personal importance I have nothing to talk about besides science.
In science fields, I am interested in mathematics and physics most. The reason for why I love these two that much maybe clear in me , but I find it hard to put into words. As for math , many may think it is merely rigor formulas or applying it stiffly, but I personally like abstractness and complexities in math. That will be quite interesting when with some simple initial conditions ,a math problem may yield us nice result. Moreover , trying to solve in short , creative ways is also attractive trait of this most fundamental subject. Approaching to modern mathematics , I find it even more fantastic as many theories , properties I learned before are now generalized, lifted to new levels though more sophisticated as well as abstract.
Taken root from mathematics but developed in different ways, physics is now the most interested subject both theoretically and practically. Our technologies today are mainly derived from physics achievements . Getting to know the first lesson of physics from secondary school, I think nothing could be more appealing to me than it. The first intriguing thing is basing on knowledge from physic ,you can explain some phenomenon or understand operating mechanisms of many thing around us like fridge, TV, cell phone, etc. But physics is not just that, like modern mathematics ,modern physics is the one I feel most excited when studying . Everything now seems so nonintuitive and strange thereby hard to capture, relativity theory ,quantum theory , just to say some well known ones.
These two fields are really tough and challenging ,but to me they are actually miracle and awesome. I always occupied myself with ideas of mathematics and physics every time ,every where possible .I remember there were many times I solved successfully the problems on bus or spending a week finding out the solutions .What helping me to do that may be the more difficult the problem is , the more excited I get. Actually I just like the feeling of pondering on the best solution for a problem rather than only to get it done.
Many scientists gain their success since very young, for youth brings us numerous thing : passions, devotions, ambitions. These things are all existing in me ,so now I really want to set next part of my life for studying mathematics and physics further not to become famous but to fulfill my joy of discovering this world. I hope that the excellence of NTU , along with my capabilities and motivations , will help me attain to my destination.

Among the different disciplines of biology, I find the subjects Mathematics/physics the most interesting/intriguing.
Hope this helps. I am also little confused about subject priority.I feel you can concentrate one one specific subject so that you can clearly express your fascination for that subject.

as for my subject priority ,because I intend to major in Physics with mathematical science, so I want to show my passion with both math and physic.But I will consider your suggestion of focusing on one subject.
in addition, I want to ask you whether my essay sounds little fake or not?
