Although I have learned the English language and linguistics for two years, it is hard for me to direct my future job because it has an amount of employment suitable for me. To solve this issue not only for me but also for other sophomores, the university organized a course-Internship 1. After Internship 1, I learned a lot of useful things in a workshop as well as a field trip about employment opportunities and experience while we contact people who are in these jobs. Moreover, I also can direct my future job plan properly according to this course.
In a workshop, the first thing I want to share that is both lectures give me several useful information about my future career as well as indispensable skills such as public speaking, office information as well as controlling our patience and determination to for preparing our future job. For example, assuming our specialization is culture and literature, our future job goes beyond becoming an interpreter or a teacher, it is highly variable. We can become IT, human resources, business administrators as well as an MC for a program. The best impressive thing I have in the workshop that is the lecturer does a myriad of jobs in various fields together with the way, the lecturer manages his time between his jobs and his family. That's so amazing and I have great admiration for his effective working style.
About a field trip, I feel so excited and comfortable when I come there for the first time. I assemble a large number of teachers and staff in this center, who are so hospitable and friendly. On the field trip, they share a lot of experience and memories meanwhile they work there as well as create employability for us when we are just a sophomore. In similar, the field trip helps me realize that specialized knowledge is not just enough, we have to cultivate our psychological knowledge for understanding along with finding proper and suitable methods for our students. Moreover, when I visit the center, I can see material facilities being so interesting and appropriate for students. Each room is decorated with different subjects to make students more interested in a lesson and that is a trait I should learn from and apply to my job later.
Therefore, after the workshop and field trip, my future plan is that I have to do an internship in the center as an assistant teacher or an internship to get experience as well as be used to teaching before. Besides, I am going to work as a tutor for a student per lesson so that I can control and manage my students more easily. In addition, this course also helps me realize that if I want to be a teacher in the future, not only will my specialized knowledge continually improve, but my psychological knowledge is also essentially cultivated from now on, in case, I have difficulty in understanding and controlling my students in the future. I can cultivate this knowledge according to my present teachers, who are willing to answer all their students' questions as well as my friends. In addition, books are the best choice for me as well providing an array of useful information about my care area.
In conclusion, I want to give my university and all the lecturers as well as the staff a lot of thanks during Internship 1, which does favor me a lot in a future career direction as well as some essential knowledge I need to learn from now on such as psychological knowledge according to the workshop and the field trip if my dream career is a teacher. And also, this course creates new thinking about employment opportunities as well as gives a widened vision about a major working as a variable job possible, in the condition I have a passion and my skills are suitable for these jobs.
