I have been going to an art camp in Maine call Med-O-lark since I was twelve years old, and that place is my definition of utopia. It's a place where you can be yourself and anyone is going to criticize no matter what, It's a place where through the years I have learn so much things about me and it have made me the person that I am today. I live there every year for one month with people all over the world and I discover that we are all different, not equal like some people think, we all come from different places and we all had different life-experience, but those difference are the things that make us special.
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child." - Forest Whitcraft. I am perfectly content when I make others feel happy, The last few years I had a lot of experience at camp, the most important was with a little boy of ten years old call Jason, the day I met him he was crying because he was homesick, so I did what the camp teach me as a LIT (Leader in training) I make him think in other things different that his home, and a few moments later he was smiling and playing with me ,In that moment I felt perfectly happy because I was the reason behind that smile, because of that I realized that I really want to be psychologist, I discover that I would love expend all my life understanding and helping people with their problems
I have always believe that we all have a little artist inside of us and Med-O-Lark help me to make that artist come outside, I have take classes of Film photography, sailing to Leader training, I grew up there, I learn how to be independent and live in my own without my parents. Med-o-lark is not as much the place itself but the people, I am glad to say that all that people that I know everyear have became my family and Knowing you have family all over the world makes it seem a little less daunting.
[i][b]Is your past academic record an accurate reflection of your ability and potential? Please elaborate on your answer.
I strong strongly think that school grades do not reflect me at one hundred percent, We all have skills and weaknesses, but I believe we show more potential when you are doing what you love and sometimes this can be difficult at school, I wanted to study psychology since I have thirteen years old, I believe and know the moment I study psychology I will be a lot better that what my academic school record shows, Why? Because psychology is what I love, listening and understand people problems and helping them is what I do and love.
